Sen Martinez would have been polling better about now, if he hadn’t lied to his voters about immigration before he won his seat. Those speeches have strangely disappeared from his web site. Guess what he said before and after his election ... ^_^

An anti-immigration Democrat could take the seat.

A good conservative would easily beat him in the primaries...

Mel has been one big ZERO so far and shows no sign of improvement.

He is only good at taking up space.

I’m in Florida, and I cannot wait to express my thoughts on RINO’s, such as this loser, at the ballot box!

Mel is doomed in the primary. Of course, the RPoF will see to it that he gets through to the general, only to go down in flames.

If we make any gains in other areas....I say good riddance.

It would be better if we got rid of him in the primaries.

I vote in Florida... and WILL NOT vote for Mel.

(Unless he pays me $300,000 or more.)

:-P

If the GOP could get rid of Martinez and those other few Cubans, they could be the All White party.

Kind of like when Ton Delay ran republican Henry Bonilla out of office in Texas. Henry was the GOP's token mexican

Bush should have NEVER insisted mel be the nominee to begin with.

Could care less if he loses.

He’s a total RINO. That said, the candidates who ran against him were people who had a rather limited appeal. They were mostly folks from the northern part of the state, which is a low-population area in general, who had been in state government but didn’t really have a lot of campaign experience and had no appeal in the cities.

I hope we get a decent conservative here who can appeal to the cities. The problem is that the GOP establishment doesn’t promote or encourage people like that.

The Republican party at national and state level is run by RINOs and that is why the party is in the shape it is.

Martinez will be backed by these RINOs and they will stifle any attempt to unseat him in a primary. That is why we have Specters, Hagels, Warners, Snowes and Grahams.

If Martinez can’t be defeated in the primary, I would rather deal with a straight up crooked Marxist any day, than a RINO traitor.

An incumbent candidate getting 36% against an unnamed candidate of the other party is a dead duck. Anything under 50% is in the danger zone.

I would stay home rather than vote for the RINO Martinez. I would push for Adam Putnam, a real Conservative.

Martinez, Chambliss, Coleman, Burr and on and on need to be dumped! Why keep these scumbags when they will just turn on the conservative base.

He only won in 2002 because the Bush family went all out to get him elected. I hope a good Republican goes after McCain, too.
