A case that challenges President-elect Barack Obama's name on the 2008 election ballot citing questions over his citizenship has been scheduled for a "conference" at the U.S. Supreme Court.
Conferences are private meetings of the justices at which they review cases and decide which ones to accept for formal review. This case is set for a conference Dec. 5, just 10 days before the Electoral College is scheduled to meet to make formal the election of Obama as the nation's next president.
The Supreme Court's website listed the date for the case brought by Leo C. Donofrio against Nina Wells, the secretary of state in New Jersey, over not only Obama's name on the 2008 election ballot but those of two others, Sen. John McCain and Roger Calero.
The case, unsuccessful at the state level, had been submitted to Justice David Souter, who rejected it. The case then was resubmitted to Justice Clarence Thomas. The next line on

But to be honest, I’d drop most of my obamajections if he would just pony up and give America the facts beyond his autobiographies. At least then Americans can make their own decisions. As we stand now, none of us actually know what we’re fixin’ ta get.
And just like all these idiotic bailouts, I’d rather take the pain now rather than pour more effort down a hole. If we’re gonna have riots over obama’s disqualification, fine. Let it happen and get all the facts out. I’m personally sick of the obfuscation.

I'm not sure the court would make that decision. It would be far better to call for new elections, lest they be viewed as partisan. I sincerely hope they do that; this is wholly new ground they're breaking, and their decision will create precedent for the future. We can't have a court overturn the will of the people, and new elections are the only way to preserve legitimacy of the process.
(If you disagree, think about it this way: say McCain had won by a landslide because the people KNEW his opponent was an anti-American marxist and they rejected him utterly. If McCain was later ruled ineligible, would it be right to just give the presidency to the one the people had resoundingly rejected?)
I don't agree on that. At the risk of sounding "racist", white middle class people are not going to riot or anything of the sort. They will whine, carry on, and then it's nose back on the grindstone.
IMO, we need for this to come to a head. Riots and Constitutional crisis if it comes to that.

In short: Formal Legal Admissions have been made by Barack Obama and the DNC. They cannot be withdrawn. Obama and the Democrats could be sued for fraud based on these formal admissions.
A major Constitutional crisis is looming. Some people are predicting this will combine with the brewing financial crisis to cause a civil war in the United States. Gerald Celente predicted an armed civil conflict last night on Coast to Coast AM. He made the statement twice. About 5 million people heard him say it. 'Nuff said.

Conservatives don’t have to “wish” as you say. All we have to do is tell the truth. I know it’s a weird concept but it’s worked for me so far. Ya might consider that a vetting principal in the future.
Re your link: Do these petitions carry any weight at all with Congress, etc.? I’ve heard they’re a waste of time — that phone calls, faxes and hard-copy letters are the only communications that are effective.
They don't even have baby onions in this case. They won't touch this with a ten foot pole, which should tell every one of us something disturbing about them.
At this point, I don't want to hear a peep out of Rush, Sean, or Levin when the story truly breaks.
If there's something merely embarrassing on his birth cert, then he has nothing to lose by releasing it. He's already won the election. It can't hurt his bid for the WH now.
So. Ask yourself, why would Barry still withhold his birth certificate?

Are you saying that civil unrest taken to the streets takes precedence over civil unrest taken through the judicial system?
I understand what your saying in terms of technicalities, but no politician could have understand his own situation any clearer. He has known from day one that he is not Constitutionally qualified.
He eliminated his own democrat political opponents based on technilcalities.
He won by unsealing and forcing their private and highly person, embarassing family lives before the public.
This man knows the game he is playing all to well.
No document tampering, deciet, or fraudulent means should be overlooked to excempt any person (you, me, or him) from the law.
Since this man not only understood, but taught Constitutional Law at University of Chicago, it just makes his personal situation more apprehensible.
Use two eyeballs on this, instead of one, please.
The greater threat of civil unrest likely resides on the right of the political spectrum, not the left. Street riots are no threat in comparison to an armed insurrection.

Let's come back to reality, shall we? That statement, as distasteful as it was, didn't exactly rise to the level of an admission by a party to a case. It was simply hyperbole.
I want to have the COLB in Hawaii released, assuming that there actually IS one. He is tremendously secretive for a guy who claims otherwise. We never did get to see his medical records - whereas all three others released theirs.
He knows the rules of the game, and plays them masterfully.
We need to know the rules too; without understanding the technicalities we cannot win.
