As Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin settles back into her job as the state's chief executive, a new ethics complaint filed Tuesday after her interview with Fox News' Greta Van Susteren says Palin already is improperly mixing her official duties and broader political ambitions.

By Kyle Hopkins Anchorage Daily News ANCHORAGE — She's a national political figure and one of the world's most famous people. She's also governor of Alaska.

As Sarah Palin settles back into her job as the state's chief executive, a new ethics complaint filed Tuesday says she's already improperly mixing her official duties and broader political ambitions.

The charge: Palin broke state ethics rules by holding national television interviews about her run for vice president from the governor's office.

And imagine what will happen if we get “hate speech” laws. If you say something negative about The One, you may be charged for something like “a conspiracy to create a negative environment.” They will make laws requiring everyone to speak non-critically about, I don’t know, transgenderism or Islam or whatever

It's surely coming. We need to fight this crap all the way. There may be blood in the streets yet.

The Wussy Pipping of America.

Thats why we have a first amendment.

Things are going to get quite litigious.

Political correctness invading the very way we breath.

Thats totalitarianism, and they can stick it.

EExample:

In Vermont the state statute defining mental illness has a section on "retarded" mental functioning. Yet as a psychologist one can only use the words " mentally challenged>' in writing a report about a patient.

Even though the statutes uses the word,"retarded", one cannot use it in a report without being branded "unprofessional."

I mean the whole political correctness regime is amazingly tight. We should be ridiculing it on a daily basis.

Freedom of Speech! Thats the next battle as the skirmishes are now beginning.

It’s called “news” and “history.” It might even be considered “PR” for *Alaska.*

Dems wouldn’t understand, since in their universe, everyone is running for something, so Governor Palin *must be.*

The scumbags have no idea how helpful they are being by filing these transparently petty “complaints” and keeping Sarah’s name out front in the news. I just have to laugh at their craven stupidity.

This guy who filed the complaint must have an awful lot of time in his hands.

Puhleese. Harley Barbour will be 65 in 2012. It will be another Dole/McCain campaign. Will be a boring one unless somehow Biden becomes Prez and run in 2012.

You have to remember this is the person who is convinced we wouldn't care about Palin if she ‘looked like Helen Thomas’ and said someone like Huckabee should be the nominee in 2012.

Such comments make me remember a posters name, for a long long time.

The “drive by” leftwing mainstream news media (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN) are really hurting when it comes to their ratings. That is because we Conservatives have turned them off and quit watching their Democrat propaganda disguised as news. Their ratings are lower than the Democrat dominated Congress which is essentially at all-time lows.

Nope. As much as Barbour is a good guy for our side, he’s not national material.

The days of chubby white Republican males from the deep south are on hold for the next 8 years.

I’m thinking the time has come to start suing and embarrassing the twits on our team who throw these frivolous lawsuits because they’re out for personal gain.

All it takes is a few hundred bucks for a PI, a couple bad photos, and local news coverage.

They want to make sure that she goes quietly into the night and never pops up again on the national scene. This ethics complaint is aimed at making her think twice before ever giving an interview again. Now every time she sits down for an interview critics will be parsing whether or not she’s using her role as Alaska’s governor to further her political ambitions. It’s absurd.

I heard on Greta’s show last night that these so-called “fiscal conservatives” are the hard line Alaskan GOP members who hate Sarah because she took down the Alaskan GOP elders who were crooks. These are the people who love Uncle Ted Stevens and are angry at Sarah for taking on her own party. She was telling the truth when she said that she doesn’t let party politics get in the way of doing what’s right. She appointed people to her cabinet regardless of party affiliation. She’s a meritocracy kind of gal. And truth be told, Alaska Democrats are much more fiscally conservative than their brethren on the national level. They have to be — they’re running for office in Alaska!

I believe you are right. Add in the additional step of getting the MSM to report on it continuously, day and night, so the viewing public is brainwashed into believing it. File lawsuits over imaginary infractions, then beat that fact into us until we go along with believing it. When the lawsuit is eventually dropped, make no mention of it. Bring the fact that there once WAS a lawsuit up again, and provide additional speculation from an "esteemed panel" in the future when you need additional ammo to tear a person down. A good communist strategy.

Dear Lord, your post frightens me. It's frightening because it is absolutely true. This is what they're doing. This is what Troopergate was. It's horrifying because it actually works.

A lot of southern other wise conservative women saw Palin’s new born and just couldn’t vote for her. I heard a lot of comments that “she needed to be with the baby”, ect. In a few years when the babe is weaned and Obama has economically raped the country, those same women may be of a different frame of mind!
