RAYMONDVILLE, Texas — A Texas judge has set a Friday arraignment for Vice President Dick Cheney, former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and others named in indictments accusing them of responsibility for prisoner abuse in a federal detention center. Cheney, Gonzales and the others will not be arrested, and do not need to appear in person at the arraignment, Presiding Judge Manuel Banales said.

Yeah, it’s no surprise that McCain’s hispandering didn’t net him jacksquat in the way of votes. Two counties in the vicinity cast only 15% of their votes for McCain, Starr & Zavala (down from 26 & 25% respectively in ‘04). The southermost county in the state to go GOP this year was Nueces (Corpus Christi), which still only barely broke for McCain with 52%, down from 57% in ‘04.

Well, if we can elect Forest Gump for President, I can certainly see how a distant cousin could become a judge.

In a lot of ways, I’d love to see Cheney show up and stare down this coward DA.

Might have to evacuate our valiant Israeli friends to our shores when the False Messiah sells them out to his turban’d buddies.

The grand jury traced a sketchy line between Cheney's influence over the U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agency, which oversees the county's federal immigrant detention center, and his substantial holdings in the Vanguard Group, which invests in private prison companies.
This phrase pretty much describes the case against Vice President Cheney.

Cool. Lets play this game.

Got a copy of the full indictment?

Lets turn it around and use this as the basis to indict ... oh, lets see... who to start with?

How much higher was voter turnout in South Texas Hispanic counties in 2008 compared to 2004?

Like heavily rat MAVERICK County where the Maverick got barley 20%. And Zapata were ZERO votes were cast in the Republican primary. Apparently a fate repeated in many small Texas counties...but still.

Looking at at least one Hispanic county, the turnout appeared dramatically up.

Zavala County
2004
Kerry - 2,332 - 75%
Dubya - 777 - 25%

2008
Obama - 3,263 - 84%
McCain - 596 - 15%
