In a stroke of evil genius, President-elect Obama has already tamed Speaker Nancy Pelosi and placed her on a short leash. By taking Rahm Emanuel out of the House of Representatives and keeping him safely in the White House, Obama did Pelosi a huge favor.
He both eliminated a threat to her leadership position and avoided an embarrassing public fight for power among Democrats in January. Have no doubt that he made it perfectly clear to Pelosi that she is now in his eternal debt.
As for the majority leader, rest assured that His Worshipness will make him an offer he cannot refuse as well.

Regardless, Obama has tamed Pelosi and is in the process of putting Hillary, Leiberman and McCain on leashes as well.
He’s like freakin Mao Zedong in all this political maneuvering to consolidate his power.

In my not-so-humble opinion, he will find himself like the old woman who takes in feral cats. One day he will fall and be unable to recover on his own; they will then devour him...it’s their nature, they won’t be able to help it.
In politics, eternal gratitude doesn’t last all that long.
Except McCain, all the enemies he keeps around will be biting him in the but. If Mac gets suckered into joinging the Obombom admin, he will be nothing but the whipping boy for every O-blunder.
