Police officers have requested that marchers not block traffic, but when these requests have been ignored, police commanders prohibited officers from taking any action to restore order. Thus in parts of Hollywood and West Los Angeles, where afternoon commutes can be hellish on the best of days, drivers unfortunate enough to be caught in any of these protests have found themselves helplessly delayed as marchers flooded into the streets, even as dozens of LAPD officers looked on from nearby waiting for orders that never came.
Its interesting to note that the Los Angeles protests have been confined to such liberal enclaves as Hollywood and the West Side, where Proposition 8 was roundly rejected by the voters. If the marchers were intent on truly facing their opposition, they might take their activities to the, shall we say, grittier neighborhoods of South Central and East L.A., where it passed by wide margins. I suspect that drivers in those neighborhoods would not be so impassive upon finding their cars surrounded by people shrieking at them for being hateful, and that the marchers would welcome the LAPDs assistance in escaping to the more hospitable zip codes whence they came....

You mean rubber gloves...........
Get out the clubs. Someone should put a match to this fire.
only the left can be the victims and only the right can be the aggressors....
Does the name Rodney King ring any bells? Anyone? Anyone?

the left and homo’s are a minority but they let their voices be heard so we there fore now have to make ours.
call the police dept all day, call the media all day, send email and letters in to the mayor asking why people are being terrorised and no one is being done on hate crimes.
Nothing will happen unless we get the majorities voices out there and be heard.
get the word out about the homo’s sing scare tactics ,maybe the leaders of the churches can get all together again and get their congregations out on Sunday to protest the kid gloves the media, the police and those elected are wearing to the homo’s who are doing hate crimes against the innocent people whose crime it was to actually vote.
to do a vote where people have given their lives for.
If they can give their lives surely we can actually get our voices be heard.
The left has sites like Kos, move on etc and those elected go there to pander and do we have any officials pander to FR or any other right wing site?
I’m out in FL but I’ll do calls if others are willing to do them about the traffic in LA
Could be pretty embarassing if one were to get their arse whipped by a nancy boy.
This non-response means escalation is inevitable. Murder will be the result.
Pro-lifers and priests just praying on a sidewalk would be rustled up and jailed. Equality for all.
..ya mean, can't we all just get a log?
Trying to prevent the officers from contracting diseases and suing the city.
That is a protest I'd like to see, as it would involve swivel kicks.
Oh, please.
If the LAPD think these poofters can gin up enough “angry queers” to burn down their neighborhood (what is the GLBT equivalent of Watts?), they are really drinking the kool-aid.
LOL!

Bratten the hatches!
