SACRAMENTO, Ca.- A former opponent of Barack Obama's has come back to haunt him over questions regarding Obama's citizenship.
Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and other members of his American Independent Party have filed suit in California Superior Court in Sacramento to stop the state from giving its electoral votes to President-elect Barack Obama.
Some conservatives have questioned Obama's citizenship in recent months. Obama says he was born in Hawaii in 1961.
Keyes also ran against Obama as a Republican for the U.S. Senate seat in Illinois in 2004. Obama won that election to serve his first and only term in the U.S. Congress.
I might be wrong, having never been sworn into congress, but don’t all elected legislators swear an oath to defend the constitution?
If this doesn’t get resolved, and they accept the EC’s votes to seat 0bama, we have every right to lable them oath breakers and their word is not worth the breath they used to speak it.
According to a press release from the little known American Independent Party, former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and other members of his the party have filed suit in California Superior Court in Sacramento to stop the state from giving its electoral votes to President-elect Barack Obama until documentary evidence is provided to prove Obama is indeed a citizen of the United States.
“If it can be demonstrated on or before January 6, 2009 that O is not a natural born citizen, arguably no USSC review and ruling is required.”
If no review or ruling would be required, who, might I ask, is the authority who would remove him as president elect?
You may ask.
Ans: The Congress.
The story breaks in the MSM, they edit the story to try and minimalize(see #82), then they send the story down the rabbit hole.
Thanks, Amityschild. Yes, worth a ping. Information keeps disappearing; glad you saved it.
Ping to #85 and #86.
And this is why SE Mom’s blogger thread was needed.
Just as I thought. And that isn’t going to happen.
Same reason I am wondering why the one article “Saying Good-Bye to a Mother” suddenly disappeared too. Luckily I discovered the disappearance and was able to find it at another spot. It makes no sense to me that an article written in summer of 2008 suddenly disappears while older articles from 2007 still remain?
I need to transcribe this for my own external posting purposes, so forgive me any typos.

Aquinasfan ~ Sadly, that's probably the correct answer. What's the Constitution compared to the Almighty Ob?
As a presidential candidate on the California ballot Alan Keyes DOES have standing.
Thanks, LucyT
Ping!!
He said he would.
Wanna be that he can't "because of allergies"???
Only in America - no valid ID required to vote or to run for president.
Sure would like to know who was behind the decision to remove the story- and what their “editorial” reasoning was...
That in itself is an important story.
I know. I'm just not convinced that judges have much interest in the Constitution or the law.
Sorry to say I have not read all these posts, so forgive me if this issue has been brought up:
Looking at the “Certification of Live Birth” the mother’s “race” is stated as “Caucasian” while the father’s “race” is stated as “African”. What would a caucasian born in, say, South Africa state as their “race”: “African” and since when is “African: a “race”. To my knowledge, there are THREE basic “races”: Negroid, Caucasian and Mongoloid.
