SACRAMENTO, Ca.- A former opponent of Barack Obama's has come back to haunt him over questions regarding Obama's citizenship.

Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and other members of his American Independent Party have filed suit in California Superior Court in Sacramento to stop the state from giving its electoral votes to President-elect Barack Obama.

Some conservatives have questioned Obama's citizenship in recent months. Obama says he was born in Hawaii in 1961.

Keyes also ran against Obama as a Republican for the U.S. Senate seat in Illinois in 2004. Obama won that election to serve his first and only term in the U.S. Congress.

I love Keyes.....he may be a bit nutty but he means what he says and he IS a conservative.

I wrote in two times for him in 2000 and 2004 here in Michigan.

This is NBC, Augusta, Georgia.

The article paints it as a conservative attack.

I expect Drudge to say something about this today.

But the difference is unlike Berg, Keyes ran against the 0. If Keyes doesn’t have standing (the reason Berg’s suit was dismissed), I don’t know who does.

I met him once on the Amtrak train. Nice enough guy, to a stranger bugging him while he boarded.

He may be a self-promoter (who isn’t) but I have no reason to believe he’s dishonest, or wildly unprincipled.

I’m sure if I’m wrong someone will point it out. :)

.......until some judge upholds the constitution they will be appealed and filed in every state. What choice is there when the defendant is not exactly acting like an innocent person.

We should start the "Where's Waldo" campaign...Waldo being the keyword for Obama's Birth Certificate.

W - Where
A - Are
L - Legal
D - Documents
O - Obama

WHERE'S WALDO?????

You know this story just won’t die and the Obama folks really are behaving strangely. I first thought that this was just an empty rabbit hole but the more I learn the more I think there is a real possibility Obama may not have been a natural born citizen and that is a big problem.

Another one of these lawsuits?

Actually, a bunch of them have now been filed in many states. The last list I saw had suits filed in ~15 states. Surely we can eventually run into ONE honest judge out there somewhere.

MM (in TX)
