Former Obama opponent now suing to prove President-Elect's citizenship (Alan Keyes)

SACRAMENTO, Ca.- A former opponent of Barack Obama's has come back to haunt him over questions regarding Obama's citizenship.

Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and other members of his American Independent Party have filed suit in California Superior Court in Sacramento to stop the state from giving its electoral votes to President-elect Barack Obama.

Some conservatives have questioned Obama's citizenship in recent months. Obama says he was born in Hawaii in 1961.

Keyes also ran against Obama as a Republican for the U.S. Senate seat in Illinois in 2004. Obama won that election to serve his first and only term in the U.S. Congress.

Its not going to just go away like Obama and his worshippers would wish. It will dog him until hes either shown to be the fraud that I suspect he is or someone produces an authentic birth certificate. I doubt that it exists otherwise why not release his college files unless they show that he recieved funds as a foriegn student? He’s cooked if thats the case and we will be stuck with President Biden. (shudder)

“What choice is there when the defendant is not exactly acting like an innocent person.”

You are correct, of course. And, you and I should remind everyone the “election” is not over!

As a matter of fact, O has not been elected president yet and it is not too late to interrupt this fraud! It isn’t close to being over until the elector’s votes are accepted during the January 6, 2009 Joint Session of Congress. At the worst, we have the ball, we are down 6 points and it’s the middle of the 3d quarter.

American voters must demand that their Senators and Representatives commence now to prepare for action on or before Jan 6, or it may be over.

See the draft in my About page of the letter I sent to my politicians. I was not an English major and you likely can do better with your draft.

As a nation, we need to raise hell over O’s apparent constitutional disqualification instead of going passive! If you agree, talk about it with everyone you know and help get it on the national scene!

As dedicated Americans have done through the centuries, it is our time to rally around and defend the flag, or not!

I think there is a real possibility Obama may not have been a natural born citizen and that is a big problem.

If it is determined that he is an "Illegal" president then everything that he signs will be invalid. Exec orders, bills etc. A real legal nightmare. Lets go there!!!

FYI my number 16.

We should push this issue until the defendant responds appropriately and in-line with the constitution.

Keyes states that are 17 in twelve states.....Uses it to prove there is “reasonable doubt”

He further states that the Grandmother in Africa says he was born there. That Obama and his family state TWO different hospitals in HI....(Paraphrase)....One person can’t be born in three different places.

After reading your link, I’m of the opinion that
every active duty soldier could refuse to serve until Obama’s eligiblity for POTUS is certified. What a mess, and one that should be easily resolved.

You know this story just won’t die and the Obama folks really are behaving strangely. I first thought that this was just an empty rabbit hole but the more I learn the more I think there is a real possibility Obama may not have been a natural born citizen and that is a big problem.

You're about to find out how deep the rabbit hole goes.

I voted for Keyes in the Republican Primary. Sadly (or fortunately, depending....) he wasn't on the ballot in my state in the general election.

My choice for president was easy this year. Obama, McCain, or Nader. No thinking required there.

It is called search. It keeps dual, triple or more of the same topic being posted and reposted using up the system, thus slowing it down. Has nothing to do with being retired. If you have time to read an article out on the web, copy it, come to the system to post it, then you have time to do the search.

There is still the possibility of rope-a-dope. He may have a verified BC ready for presentation on 6 Jan 09, if challenged. It would be a very dramatic moment and the credibility of his accusers would be damaged in the court of public opinion. But it would also show that he has exceptionally bad judgement about handling fairly mundane problems.

Importing a flair for street drama to the national level does not build confidence in the judgement skills of any person. It tends to make them look silly. But he has no executive experience at all and has not held any demanding leadership positions either. He may be so focused on making opponents look bad that he is unaware of how others will perceive his handling of this matter. “Gettin’ in their faces” is usually not the best method at this level.

Shouldn’t this be in breaking news since this is the first time this story has hit the MSM?

“...I think there is a real possibility Obama may not have been a natural born citizen and that is a big problem.”

The nation is being asked to buy a cat in a bag! The Keyes lawsuit in CA has promise but only if it can lead to O’s timely disqualification.

Here are some comments from another thread concerning O’s “birth certificate”

“(Fukino) clearly states it is an original birth certificate.”

Agreed and it is so stated at pg. 11 of the (Keyes) Petition. But that does not settle the issue. As the Petition further provides, there are two forms of a birth certificate Fukino could have viewed.

One form, a COLB, may be persuasive evidence -but only if - the selection of Hawaii is made as opposed to other locations provided on the form as the place of birth. If so, the form can be authenticated by comparing the birthing information set out on the form with local hospital records.

The other form, Certificate of Hawaiian Birth, was available prior to 1972 for the asking within one year of a birth based on the testimony of a single “witness”. Such a form has little value in this issue.

One could argue that banker g’ma was sufficiently aware of the difficulties Hawaiian non-citizens had with bank loan applications to assure her g’son was certified as a natural born citizen, if in fact he actually was.

Is Fukino so biased she would parse her words? It is certainly possible. At least one informed poster has stated that - let me put this politely - Fukino shares O’s political philosophy
