JERUSALEM The enactment of a "single payer" socialist health care system; passing laws to make joining a labor union easier; raising the minimum wage and increasing labor union support all these are just some of the policies the Community Party USA has mapped out as crucial for Obama to push through during his term of office.
Just days after the party's official newspaper lauded the role of labor unions in Obama's election victory, another article in the Communist Party's Political Affairs magazine by leading party member and Rutgers University history professor Norman Markowitz outlined the kind of "change" he expects Obama to bring to the U.S.:
"For the people who elected Obama and the increased Democratic majority," Markowitz writes, "'change we can believe in' isn't about bailouts for corporations and banks. It isn't about wearing American flag pins on your lapel. ...
"It is about ending the post-World War II policies that led to the long-term stagnation and decline of the labor movement," Markowitz writes. "It is about creating a national public health care program more than 50 years after it was established in other major industrial nations, and handling a national debt which has increased 10 times since Ronald Reagan became president in 1981."
Markowitz urges Obama to implement a "single payer" national health system, or socialized universal medicine.

They want to make joining a union so easy that you even end up joining if most employees oppose the idea. That's the opposite of freedom (no surprise from the communists) but at least it's easy.
The Commies shouldn’t worry too much, the Messiah has come to lead them to the same worker’s paradise that socialist countries have enjoyed since 1917. (Rationed health care, high unemployment, reduced standard of living. etc.)
yep, those labor unions are doing great now-a-days. Possible GM and Ford bankruptcy is a wonderful thing.
The point of unions, for Communists, is to get control of work. I.e. to get control of the workers qua workers, to keep them in line with the Party.
Likewise, soviet healthcare puts pressure on families to conform to the Party line.
That is the whole point -- taking huge chunks of people's lives into Party receivership.
“passing laws to make joining a labor union easier; raising the minimum wage and increasing labor union support “
Amazing. They put it right out there. As a Chicago Pol he is more comfortable dealing with the Unions than all the unwashed workers who do not want to be in a Union.
The Soviet Union had unions too.
The crats will have a hard time to deliver socialist health care. The trial lawyewrs have to be able to sue the doctors and providers for the billoins.
My ballot had a candidate from the CPA party. I assumed this was the Communists but they claim they didn’t have a candidate. So he is/was CPA?
“So he is/was CPA?”
“...all these are just some of the policies the Community Party USA has mapped out as crucial for Obama...”
Apparently CPA must mean “Community Party of America” according to this article.
Either that or the accountants have their own party.
The commies never gave up. They just changed their name to the democrat party, and kept on fighting.
They just won big, but if you ask the American public if communism just won, they will send you to an insane asylum.
"The Communist Party USA views the 2008 elections as a tremendous opportunity to defeat the policies of the right-wing Republicans and to move our country in a new progressive direction.
The record turnout in the Democratic Presidential primary races shows that millions of voters, including millions of new voters, are using this election to bring about real change. We wholeheartedly agree with them."
I give up until 2010/2012.
They’re going to brutalize our economy and Americans will see how foolish they were for bringing on Jimmy Carter’s second term.
That’s when the new Ronald Reagan will become President and Republicans will sweep into Congress holding our core values close. We’ll bring back hardcore capitalism, limited government, defend our deteriorating cultural and family values, and empower our military to stop threats both domestic and abroad.
Yep.
Accounting is just a perpetual party.
