The city has come up with a plan to help you shake your salt habit, according to New York magazine.
In a closed-door gathering at Gracie Mansion late last month, health experts and food-industry representatives were told about Mayor Bloomberg's next crusade - an effort to reduce the salt in processed food by 20 percent over the next five years, the magazine reports in this week's issue.

It’s good to know that there’s no problem in life that Emperor Bloomberg (for life) won’t solve for his subjects.

I guess nanny Bloomberg is going to ban salt now???
PLEASE, just STOP IT!. . .
STOP>>>>>STOP>>>>>STOP!
I see, hear. . .and understand 'the Scream'!
Aren’t there more important things to worry about?
How about a long crusade on a short pier with all his minions and do us all a favor.
all these little”Men Who Would Be King”, poor Michael Caine, the tribe finally figured out he wasn’t God.
Funny little thing about me, I like to make my own decisions.
Okay, in a way this is exactly what the framers of the Constitution had in mind when they gave a few enumerated powers to the Federal Government and reserved everything else to the states and citizens. This allowed many different experiments to be tried in different regions of the country. The way the citizens of the states responded, either by throwing politicians out on their asses or by leaving the state or by accepting the innovation, would demonstrate the feasibility and/or wisdom of the project. This is also why too much federal government trying to make one-size-fits-all law on a wide variety of subjects is deadly. It reduces the diversity of a wide variety of social/economic environmental niches and makes it more and more impossible that new and better, or just different, ways of doing things can emerge to solve the wide array of problems of life.
Leave us a forwarding address when you go to reeducation camp. ; )

The law of inintended consequences will be enforced.
Salt is in many (not all) foods at a certain level for a REASON. It is a preservative. How many will die from spoiled food?
Is socialized medicine on the way?
