The California secretary of state should refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until President-elect Barack Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office, alleges a California court petition filed on behalf of former presidential candidate Alan Keyes and others.
The legal action today is just the latest is a series of challenges, some of which have gone as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, over the issue of Obama's status as a "natural-born citizen," a requirement set by the U.S. Constitution.
WND senior reporter Jerome Corsi even traveled to Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions.
The biggest question is why Obama, if a Hawaii birth certificate exists, simply hasn't ordered it made available to settle the rumors.

Look, if you guys want an amen chorus on this thread, that’s fine. I’ll shut up. But I live near a district that voted 98% Obama and I wrote an oped piece (which the paper published, to their credit) about the problem with a lack of intellectual and ideological diversity.
Think about it. Do you all really want to engage in an interesting discussion or do you want your beliefs repeated in an echo chamber? Having someone disagree with you makes you a more muscular debater. I know, because in my area, the liberals are pretty flabby talkers!

If I had access to about a dozen blank short COLB forms and a raised seal stamper, I could probably whip up just about the same things as FactCheck has photographed. Just need some photoshop and a little time; the content can be whatever random crap suits you.
At least until the original long-form copy comes out; then it’s game over, because the lie is exposed.
THAT is why it’s so important to see the real form, and why the FactCheck short COLBs are useless, even if they are legitimately from the State of Hawaii.
What does that have to do with his grandparents forging a birth announcement? What real reason do they have for doing that?
This is a hugely profitable story - I’m assuming the media still performs for profit, not political bias - and the ancillary fallout stories will be hugely profitable as well.
Did Keyes finally pass the ‘standing’ test? Is that what happened today?
The case has not been heard as of yet in Hawaii it is scheduled for this coming week. Rather ironic that Jr could have records unsealed for his opponents in previous political runs and yet the same is not happening now that it involves him!

For what it is worth, I used to get photostatic copies, now they have been computerized, and information is extracted from a database and printed into new form.
If you know Keyes, he does NOT operate that way???
He probably rather remembers what really happened to that Ryan guy he replaced on that ballot!!!

Never had to read that book. I know people who have and I never gathered from them whether or not it was pro or con towards governmental control.

I appreciate your input. I guess you have to go on the assumption that because it is possible to forge the document, it is forged. Again, I understand those that believe that, more power to you as they say. I don’t think it’s true—one reason is that someone would have squealed by now.

I think you’re wrong about the media - I think they’re motivated about 95% or more for propaganda purposes. There are plenty of juicy stories that people would be very interested in but they don’t fit the leftist/Dem agenda.
I don’t know about Keyes’ standing... I get all my news on FR, don’t own a TV and can’t get radio where I live. I’ve been sort of stuck on this thread...
But sooner or later, and maybe sooner, this may hit the media even if they wish it wouldn’t. If the SCOTUS hears one of these cases, they’ll have to grudgingly report on it.
