His Electors were then freed to vote for whomever they chose, and did so. Fortunately, Greeley had not won, so his death didn't affect the results. In the Obama case, the freedom of the Electors would affect the result. Odds are, they would vote for Hillary, as is their right.

McCain has gone before a court. I don’t have that link or article, it was quite some time ago. But he did, and it may have been during his last run. It was settled, in a court of law.
Perhaps someone here has the source of this, since I don’t? His parents were both natural citizens of the US, his father was in the military, stationed in Panama. He is a natural born citizen.
Also: No Constitutional provision or Federal law requires electors to vote in accordance with the popular vote in their State.

Each and every Sec of State has to certify the votes in their particular state.
Other suits were brought in other states over the same issue, but I think they went nowhere due to “standing”.
Kalifornia has a different level of “standing” to bring a lawsuit.
You are assuming that his lack of natural born status is the ONLY issue.
There is more.......
Democrats need to be reminded, that if they change the natural born requitement, Ahnold could then run. They would not want that.
