I've been pondering things for days now. All the bits and snippets from FR and elsewhere are starting to fill in a few of the gaps. Things are still too murky as yet to truly call it a terrorist attack, but indications are it very well was a well planned attack on our weakest link.

Hypothesis: The League of Arab Nations caused the current economic turmoil by driving the commodities markets resulting in the crash of the American (hardest hit) and Global economic systems.

Oil $147 to $78 drop (Bloom). So that would make the democrats right about the speculators, but for the wrong reasons. The oil demand was a false demand created by heavy investment by the middleeast in their own oil commodities. Something that we could never control unless we used protectionism in our own markets.

The global domino effect of the US going into a depression just isn't going to happen. What is most likely is the advancement of a global monetary system based on gold.

Trouble is...America doesn't own any of the gold in its vaults. We have been effectively check-mated and will surrender under Obama in early 2009. Dollars will be worthless.
