STAMFORD - MTA police arrested a janitor Wednesday who allegedly videotaped at least 16 women using a cell phone camera hidden in a bathroom stall of the Stamford train station, Metropolitan Transit Authority Police Sgt. John Rizzitelli said. Felicitos Gonzalez, 41, of 1 Division St., Stamford was arrested Wednesday morning at his home and charged with 16 counts of voyeurism, said Rizzitelli, an investigator on the case.
Additional charges are possible, Rizzitelli said.
Gonzalez has worked for Fusco Management since August, which runs and maintains the station on behalf of the Connecticut Department of Transportation,Rizzitelli said.
A female complainant contacted transit police Nov. 3 after finding the camera inside a basket containing rolls of toilet paper she had knocked over, Rizzitelli said.
The phone contained footage of 16 women using the bathroom, as well as footage of Gonzalez as he placed the phone in the basket, Rizzitelli said.
"We knew almost immediately he was one of the station cleaners," Rizzitelli said. "He denied it."
Police also seized a home computer from Gonzalez' bedroom which is being analyzed for further images at the Connecticut State Police Crime Lab in Meriden, Rizzitelli said.
Gonzalez is in the country illegally, Rizzitelli said, and police have contacted the U.S. Immigration, Customs, and Enforcement Agency in Hartford about the case.
Gonzalez was held on $50,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned in state Superior

“...at least 16 women using a cell phone camera...”
The writer of this article needs to attend a remedial English class. The way it is written makes it appear the women were the ones using the camera to videotape others. The writer must be a graduate of an outcome based education school.
Who cares about watching “women using a cell phone camera”?
/fun
Oh yeah? We’ll, I’d like to see you take a job planting hidden voyeur cams in toilets for close to minimum wage.
“Police also seized a home computer from Gonzalez’ bedroom”
Ewwwwwww !
And of course, Fusco Management has been fined by INS and their contract with the MetroTrans invalidated. They will be placed on a “no hire” list.
