I’m not a computer geek, so I’m the wrong person to ask.
OPINION:
In a sense you’re downloading it to watch it, but you aren’t downloading it and saving it — you’re viewing it.
Hacker Rule #1: If you can view it or play it, you can record/download/rip it.

We’ve got our own Smackdown team right here - of course they shouldn’t be on there to begin with but I can’t imagine policing YouTube. That’s where WE come in.

That’s probably a count of viewings, so technically, it was downloaded, at least temporarily, that many times. And it is possible to save those files to video. There are several Firefox add-ons that will do it.
