Will John McCain be the Republican in Barack Obama's cabinet?
The Telegraph, London, UK ^ | 2008-11-12 | Toby Harnden

Posted on 11/12/2008 2:31:08 PM PST by rabscuttle385

It's standard fare for a president to make a bipartisan gesture by including one member of the opposing party in his cabinet - just as it's always the case (lest we forget) that every president-elect vows to change the tone in Washington and reach out magnanimously to his vanquished opponents.

But John Podesta, the former Bill Clinton former chief of staff who's spearheading the transition for the 44th president, said today that there would be independents and Republicans in Barack Obama's cabinet and "not just at a token level".

I DEMAND my pony...I DESERVE that damn horse. ... I’ve been wronged here....I am a victim...

Oh, that's just... great!

Healthcare for All! Preschool for All! And now, Ponies for All!

My espresso machine just broke. Ya think I could swing a Free-Expresso-for-All movement?
(I'm feeling kind of cranky without my morning fix)

I think that all that was being pointed out before she got “discovered”........:o)

Yep... I'm late to the party... but I think I've figured it out now, LOL.

I threw a couple of fairly low blows, enough to be noticed but not disqualified from the fight,

I dont expect you to tolerate insults, but I dont mind em if I can further pull the troll out into the sunlight for all to see...

I tend to run up to the edge at times, although I dont think ive ever had a comment removed...yet...

Nuh uh! You can't say that! You're a white guy aren't you?! You can't be a victim! The leftists don't allow that!

There ya go.......ROTFLMAO !!!

We're TOO easily distracted! ...show and tell with a new weapon, a lovely woman, a child who climbs into our lap and tells us she loves us, or a "GOOD DOGGIE!"...and we pretty much forget trolls and boogey-men, and just sit there and grin. :-) I know I do!

“...Stephen King...”

I used to...but he’s a lefty, and I don’t like giving them my money if I can avoid it.

It’s kind of a “Shut up and Sing” thing, you know, like Laura Inghram’s book stated.

I wouldn’t mind them so much if they kept their politics out of their artwork...but then again, I guess that’s not really possible, is it?

Lots of artists are lefties, unfortunately...idealists with no grip on reality. It’s a shame, because there’s a lot of talent that could be put to better use, other than deconstructing American society...

As long as it will hold my GAU-19 and ammo chute !

Big Wheel maybe......:o)

I'll BET that SoapGirl's 13 yr old brother could weld you something! That would be SO cool. :-) A tricycle with the GAU-19 mount!...chute and all!

Big Wheels where a lot of fun! My little brother had one when I was "almost" too big to ride it. I've still got gravel in my butt from coming off of it one day! ...but WHAT a ride just before the wipe out! :-)

Dude...we're GUYS...it doesn't take much to entertain us... It's the way we're made... As for the Boogeyman issue...We all know there's no need to get SNOTTY about it.... HA!

Yeah...that's a good point... VERY easy to entertain!...sometimes, TOO easy! ...half gallon of gas, a paper towel, and a rifle chambered for the .243 Winchester.... and I better not say any more about because admin mods have yanked it TWICE, but it's very entertaining! :-)

Growing up in the city, as I did, we used to ride those Big Wheels down a street with a really steep grade; at the bottom was a “T”-intersection, and we would have hair-raising encounters with traffic upon reaching the bottom of the hill, with cars behind us laying on the horn (and then the brakes) and cars turning the corner as well and stomping on the brakes...

We’d pull the damn seats off the things and STAND on them, then wipe out at the bottom...

It’s a wonder none of us got killed...but man, it was FUNNY...and I would probably FREAK on MY kids if they’d done that!!!!

thats the beauty of it, we ARE confident in our beliefs/faith/principles and will be 'ok' with the outcome, whether we HAVE TO FIGHT for it[ this thread is one bloodLESS battle], or whether God just gives US a reprieve [and the libtards go on a complete feeding frenzy amongst themselves]... our serenity is definately their misery...

I never did understand the concept of being miserable or less than satisfied because somebody else was living happily. I've always been happy for others who are happy. It rather reminds me of the rabid homosexuals. They can't be happy just being left to their own vile ways. They won't rest until we AGREE with them. Ah well...that's another issue unto itself, but the same principle.

Either way...if somebody is happy, then I'm happy FOR them! :-)

McCain will become the Chairman of the Armed Services Committee. Heard him state that was his life's ambition on a talk show a few years ago, he didn't say he wanted to become president.

“...half gallon of gas, a paper towel, and a rifle chambered for the .243 Winchester..”

And the flaming wreckage that was, formerly, the Meeting Hall for the local Loyal Order of the Brotherhood of Neutered Elk was STILL smoldering two days after the inferno, caused by, according to authorities, two kids playing with a half gallon of gas, a paper towel, and a rifle chambered for the .243 Winchester, while shooting at groundhogs...

Your kids sound like they have their heads screwed on right. I hope they have lots of children, too!

My kids ROCK! But then again, we sacrificed the time and resources to homeschool them! We graduated one this past summer, but he's nearly through a two year program at the local Comm. College already because he started there when he was 16 and still in high school. He'll transfer in the spring to a four year school. People at work talk about their teens as if they were demonic creatures from another world. I love mine! They're my bestest buddies!....especially the one I refer to as "SoapGirl". Her and I think a LOT alike! She's the other woman in my life. She's 15....very, VERY soon to be 16!:-)

Oh yes! I hope to have a whole bunch of grand kids from this crew of mine! ...fingers crossed and all that good stuff. :-)
