I did not notice this posted and with all of the recrimination, evaluation, punditry and suggestions I've seen posted here, I thought this might provide a good opportunity for us to let the Numbskull RINO's at the RNC know exactly how we feel and what course of action they should follow in order to regain the support and confidence of the base.

The Link is: REPUBLICANS FOR A REASON

It appears you have to sign up and this will allow you to log in.

HOWEVER, I would suggest for those who have not read the 2008 GOP Platform, you might want to do so before you make any suggestions as this will help make you better informed.

LINK: GOP PLATFORM

I only glanced thru it quickly and while it may be there, I noticed NOTHING about the 2nd Amendment and this in particular bothers me:

Under "ENERGY:"

Addressing Climate Change Responsibly

The same human economic activity that has brought freedom and opportunity to billions has also increased the amount of carbon in the atmosphere.

While the scope and long-term consequences of this are the subject of ongoing scientific research, common sense dictates that the United States should take measured and reasonable steps today to reduce any impact on the environment.

Someone at the RNC has obviously been drinking the Green KoolAid, which in itself is problematic for me.

My first vote for President was in 1964 and (being young, dumb and -- fill in the blank lol) in the USAF, I voted for Johnson.

Since then I have never voted for a Democrat, albeit deciding in 72 to quit the Republican Party and have not returned since.

The reason was because as a Nam Vet, I was highly incensed when Ford refused to exercise his duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Paris Peace Accords and would not honor our commitment to assist South Vietnam when invaded by the North with conventional forces including heavy armor, regardless of the traitorous Rats in Congress having cut off funding.

Subsequently over the years, the RNC has given me NO reason to reconsider even during the Reagan years, who I supported with contributions but not to the RNC.

That said, if the RNC elects a "Conservative" Chairman and they change their attitude (i.e. get’s their sh*t together) and decides to become a true Republican Party, I might consider joining, volunteering, assisting and even, contributing.

Time will tell!!!

“The same human economic activity that has brought freedom and opportunity to billions has also increased the amount of carbon in the atmosphere.”

the world’s elite have acquired the same disease the French Monarchy acquired in the late 18th century.....they are too sheltered to appreciate that it is the work of the peons and peasants that make their world so comfortable.

I remember 1993 and as bad as Obama/Pelosi might seem McCain’s loss was required :

1) For the public to actually expect something from democrats, stop rewarding them with votes for driving down their own approval ratings
2) For republicans to clean house and undo damage from last 8 years, and we have a tougher climb than in 1992, ...

And a common for will bring us together something we really need, democrats had.

The Democrats have an ACTIVE Web program in place, and it will be hard to match.

They are getting HUGE amounts of overseas cash filtered through orgs like MoveOn, or ACT BLUE.

MoveOn can get a million people on the phones to your congressman, or rent a mob to “protest” in front of the TV cameras.

KOS can spread talking points in the media in hours, mainly because much of the media are KOS posters themselves!

Most of this works simply because campaign laws are not being enforced. Without the massive inflows of untraced foriegn cash coming in small amounts, we have no way to compete with this.

I went out to the website and realized it was an RNC site. Granted they hold the party platform, but until they come to terms with the fact that THEIR platform is not MY platform no assistance from me will be forthcoming.

You see the Democrat party was absconded from the true democrats to give us what we have today. Call it what you like, they are not Democrats.

The RNC is in the same situation. Palin electrified the base, not McCain. She presented as a true conservative. She was able to withstand all the mudslinging and false accusations. Even the ones going on now...she stands tall. As each new accusation comes up, Palin is able to stand on her integrity and values.

As I see it we have a choice to make. One many here will disagree with, but I push party loyalty aside after this election. We got here through party loyalty and voting for RINOs and what did we get in return? A party with no integrity, no cajones, no principles, no ability to hold eachother let alone the other party accountable, and a willingness forgo the Constitution.

No I will no longer offer my party loyalty to the RNC or GOP, my loyalty rests with what is left of America.

Back when the Republicans were the party of ideas, they were winning big and the Democrats were at a loss on how to compete. Then the GOP turned to the Bushes, spending, pandering, and illegal aliens for the new base. The Democrats didn’t improve, but simply waited for the GOP’s self destruction.

Conservatives should join the Republican Party, and start selecting NEW Talent, not old codgers for the top spots. The Republican Party needs new blood and talent, and especially at the top spot elections.

I am sure that there is plenty of younger conservative adults to get activated into the Republican Party, and cut out the Geritol Generation such as John McCain , Fred Thompson, etc.

I am sure many new leaders have formed from our Military who have served combatting Terroism, since Sept 11, 2001. Military leaders who have law degrees or other degrees, who would look good on the cover of GQ. It’s time.

All the old Party Hacks need to make it their business to find them and put them in the spotlight and groom them for the future of America.

Get someone who is computer savy, media savy, etc.

1)Mr Duncan, please turn in your resignation followed by the House Leader and Senate Leader.

2) Close the fricken GOP primaries from the Rats and the so called Rats that call themselves “independents.” Have a true GOP conservative state start the primaries instead of New Hampshire that is infested with Massachusetts Liberals now.

3) Fight fire with fire. That means questioning the media when we have a chance to in their forums instead of trying to get along. Don't automatically take the premises of their questions.

4) No more “New Tones.”

Chairmen’s Preamble
Index

This is a platform of enduring principle,(You forgot, I didn't) not passing convenience – the product of the most open and transparent process in American political history.  We offer it to our fellow Americans in the assurance that our Republican ideals are those that unify our country: Courage in the face of foreign foes.  An optimistic patriotism, driven by a passion for freedom.  Devotion to the inherent dignity and rights of every personAmerican (Guests need to know when it's time to leave, check our illegal alien problem.)  Faith in the virtues of self-reliance, civic commitment, and concern for one another.  Distrust of government’s interference in people’s lives.  Dedication to a rule of law that both protects and preserves liberty.

National Security Defending Our Nation, Supporting Our Heroes, Securing the Peace

I flipped through the National Security section -

Peace through strength – an enduring peace, based on freedom and the will to defend it. Duncan Hunter (remember the guy you clowns threw under the bus), was brilliant on the subject.

Homeland Security

Start at home. Start with the release of Ramos and Compean, Americans who actually give a damn about America. Quit talking the talk, of telling other countries to watch their borders. Come home and stop the flow of 2500 a night across our southern border.

TSA what a joke, 90% are there without a clue,(the 10% that are sharp, let’s figure out how to keep them) perhaps a clue could be had from El Al, in profiling. Yes, profiling, and other techniques, that are successful, need to be implemented. If you knew me, you’d give me a weapon to get on the plane with, not be busy trying to confiscate my protection.

Immigration, National Security, and the Rule of Law

See the above! But for beginners, eliminate the BS of “Sanctuary cities.” Getting tough, and actually enforcing the laws that America hired you to do, might be a concept worth checking out, especially of those here illegally to begin with!

State Department Reform

Wow! A new administration would need to clean out a lot of deadwood.

Human Trafficking

Death sentence needs to be available, and used often against those involved in the leadership, and causation, of this heinous crime. Helping Others Abroad

Better take care of the homefires first.

Strengthening Ties in the Americas

Fair trade yes, free trade, no way.

Advancing Hope and Prosperity in Africa

Job of government is to build infrastructure, and national defense. Perhaps we need to think about downsizing our footprint abroad that has a government shoe on it. If you want to help Africa, great, but let’s keep it in context. The checkbook isn’t the first thing you take out when Bono shows up on your doorstep. Give a man a fish, and he eats for a day, teach him to fish and he eats for a lifetime. Might think about how to teach the man how to manage the resource while he is fishing.

Partnerships across the Asia-Pacific Region

See fair trade, not free trade.

Strengthening Our Relations with Europe

Maybe we get a stronger NATO with our friends and allies. Then we unilaterally all threaten to withdraw from the U.N. unless some drastic changes come into play. John Bolton will be my key man on this issue.

I left thinking that the party needs to return to it's roots. They don't believe in small government, nor do they embrace conservatism. They are racing to get in front of the democrats in being socialist. They follow the crowd, rather than lead by principle. I'm founded in conservatism, not socialism. That is why I voted for Sarah Palin because she represents what the party should represent, not what it has became.

The GOP needs to think about this, because I won't be the only one sailing for a new party if this one doesn't figure it out. Sarah, let me know when the dock is built.

I posted ten items for them to think about. Did this around 0900. Still haven’t seen my post. I wonder if they read the posts first, then decide what will be posted, or if there’s simply a huge lag time between writing a post, and seeing it online?

Poster under the, “My Party” category.
