MAKE ALL GOP PRIMARIES “CLOSED” PRIMARIES
No more propping up of the weakest horse in the stable by the media.

The best suggestion of all.
The dems had this election planned and fixed from the beginning. They even picked the candidate they wanted to run against.
Meanwhile, the GOP is just shuffling along fat, dumb and happy...thinking everyone is honest and will play by the rules.
I think that's how we beat the British in the old days...they thought we should fight by "gentlemen's rules" and stand face to face with each other and take target practice.
However, we discovered the art of ambush, taking cover, and surprise...and guess what, we won our independence from England.
Now, here we are again, standing in lines to be picked off at the leisure of the democrats...trying to be "honorable". Honor is good, but at the end of the day, obama got elected President.
All kinds of parables come to mind, like: "Fight fire with fire" et al. But in the last two elections there was either a lot of cheatin' goin' on, or, we are now the minority. And like AVIS said, "When you're number 2, you have to try harder." And sometimes, get in the trenches and fight dirty...like the opposition.

How can you have closed primaries in a state like Texas?
The only time a party label is used is to keep people that vote in a primary election from voting in another party during a primary election.

I agree with closing primaries but this year I don’t think this was a factor. Between Zero and Hillary there was no reason for Dems to take a Rep primary ballot.

I urge the ending of primaries altoghether. Back to the Caucus system such as we have in Minnesota.
