Shepard Smith, A Giant Embarrassment For Fox News

Shepard Smith has long been an embarrassment for those of us who look to Fox News for reliability and intelligence. He always has been very unsophisticated and shows no sign that he does any homework to keep himself minimally informed. Study after study, including from liberal sources like the Washington Post and the Pew Foundation, have demonstrated the Obama bias of the MSM. He screams “preposterous” at his guest who points this out. Aggressiveness like his combined with a lack of intelligence is a witch’s brew.

For Shepard to know nothing about the MSM Obama bias is truly bewildering. What country does he live in? And to add insult to injury, the FNC Judge pipes up with support for this absurdity. I don’t really believe the Judge believes what he said in order to prop up an over-matched Smith.

With Brit Hume, as sophisticated as any contemporary journalist around, retiring from FNC, and Smith too dense to understand his own intellectual limitations, things don’t seem to be too bullish for the Fox News Channel. It’s truly sad.

My wife and I thought Shep was terrific when he was an anchor at the network affiliate in Orlando Florida. However, Shep has been an unmitigated disaster at Fox News. We have reached a point, were we can't stomach watching or listening to Shep. And listening to him is like listening to a steel rake scrapping and scratching a chalk board.

I graduated a couple of years after Shep at Marshall Academy in Holly Springs MS. He was choir and drama and all that BS. I really need to post some of the old pics sometimes. His dad has a card counting problem and has been banned from the Tunica casinos.

He spoke at a graduation a few years back, and had a armed guard with him.

I think those that didn't see it don't appreciate his delivery as that of one possessed by a devil. It's something that HAS to be seen. I'm tired of writing about it and trying to adequately describe it.

And that arrogant, clueless oaf, O'Reilly, sat there listening and never intervened till Cameron was on his last calumny. But that was only because Campaign Carl would have gone on forever without coming up for air.

I never really cared much for Shep.

Then I saw his over-the-top drama queen performance in the Katrina aftermath in New Orleans and was turned off for good.

I can't stand to watch him. If I have Fox on (which I never really do anymore) I turn it off the minute I hear his voice.

I know the feeling. I have the remote ready to turn the TV off as soon as the Brit Hume Special ends with that ending joke video. Why ruin the funny joke by having to see Shep, the bad joke? Almost every reporter on Fox News is better informed than Sunny Boy.

He also over dramatized Katrina—yelling at Bush while he was standing out in the rain unnecessarily. He's definitely the preferred newscaster for the ADD, quickly shallowly skimming the top and never offering any depth.
