UNIDENTIFIED MALE (Police Cheif): If your intention in going inside the fire station is to trap her in a room and talk to her, that's not going to happen.

JESSE WATTERS, "FACTOR" PRODUCER: I don't want to trap her. I just want to convey...

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: How much clearer can I make it that she doesn't want to talk to you? Does she — do you have to make her talk to you? Is that your right to make her talk to you?

WATTERS: What I'm saying is she's — her salary is paid for by the taxpayers. She maxed out to the Obama campaign. She may have done something illegal. And as a journalist, I have a right to ask her a question.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Well, not if she doesn't want to speak with you.

I'd like to know why this police cheif doesn't believe Watters has the right to question Helen Jones-Kelley. Just because she doesn't want to talk doesn't take away his right to ask these questions anyhow.

Watch. This “investigation” will get swept under the rug.

Sorry....I don't care if she's guilty of a crime or not...if you tell a "news person" "No" once, anything beyond that is harassment.

These people are Grade A jerks and barking after people is not a right.

She's the director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. It was she who pulled Joe Wurzelbacher's personal records in an attempt to find embarrassing information on him.

Director, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services

Helen E. Jones-Kelley

Helen Jones-Kelley was appointed director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) by Governor Ted Strickland effective January 8, 2007. Helen Jones Kelly is the woman who illegally tapped into Joe the Plumber’s driver’s license and other records, using Ohio government computers.
She is being protected by Gov. Strickland and others, and will probably never be prosecuted.
Three guesses why.

So now we have ‘sanctuary’ fire stations?

Property taxpayers need to rise and de-annex the suburbs from the central cities and let the chips fall where they may.

Do I detect the odor of a police chief attempting to deprive the reporter of their constitutional rights under false color of law?

Joe had the audacity to ask a simple question of The One. Mustn’t do that, or you get investigated by the libtards. Joe has a website that is in it’s first stages, “secureourdream.com”. If he ever runs for any office he will be swamped with donations from normal patriotic Americans.

And, she’s on paid administrative leave from her $150K/year job while she’s investigated for using state resources for political purposes. Even despite having herself written memos to her staff warning them this was a violation of state law. Of course, that doesn’t mean it applied to HER!

It’ll be a slap on the wrist misdemeanor if she’s charged but hopefully she’ll lose her job.

Isn’t there a conservative lawyer in America that can sue everyone involved on Joe’s behalf?

What constitutional rights do reporters have?

The same rights of any citizen (for example, not to be unlawfully threatened by the police)...

First the producer/reporter has no right to question anyone against their will, even some petty slightly bent official and the Police Chief wasn't threatening when he pointed that out and what makes you think his statements were unlawful?

“First the producer/reporter has no right to question anyone against their will,”

What do you mean ‘against their will’? Are you claiming that the public is not allowed to question government officials who don’t want to be questioned? Please elaborate.

I have to agree with you. I'm sure it's not a poplular stance to take here since most here think this woman's actions were vile (and I agree with them), but I'll risk the flames to stand up for what I believe in. People shouldn't be hounded to death by the press. I'm not sure who I despise more, the press or the lawyers.

Where were all these "hard hitting" reporters before the election?"
