Yesterday I asked you on the air what is wrong with this statement from Valerie Jarrett, the co-chair of Barack Obama's Transition Team:
There is one president at a time. President Bush is still the president. He's graciously invited President-elect Obama to the White House tomorrow to begin their conversations of the transition. So we respect that. He will be the president until January 20th. However, giving--given, really, the daunting challenges that we face, it's important that President-elect Obama is prepared to really take power and begin to rule day one. So we will be working closely with his administration. We're reviewing the agencies now. He will be making key personnel decisions. He gets national security briefings every day now as well, but he will not be the president until January 20th.
It didn't take long for the listeners to get this yesterday. Presidents govern. They manage. They lead. They don't RULE. China, North Korea, Venezuela, and most countries in Africa have "rulers." We don't. This is a hint at the mindset of the Obama crowd. The people of the United States have elected a "ruler," not a leader. A ruler with a penchant for nifty little emblems on his speaking podiums, by the way ....
That's perfect! Now I know what to call this guy.
Where is the “Office of the President-Elect”? Is it a 1700 Pennsylvania Ave?
I don’t think you’ll be getting a King; a third-world banana republic style bozo perhaps, but not a king.
She does know there’s no cable in the big woods, right? /s
;-)
Arrogance knows no bounds . . . particularly that so long incubated in hell.
For the first time in my life, I am afraid for of my country.
I read elsewher this morning that our new Overlord is trying to push for Valerie Jarrett to replace him in the Senate.
I caught that - Presidents do not RULE. They are the executive branch ‘head’ of the government.
Just the arrogance of some of these “man-of-the-people” that are truly liberal effeminate elites.
That way of phrasing it came to mind. I just thought it might have been premature.
Better title for him...Mabus, Sultan of America
Your country will be just fine. If you feel a need to be afraid, think about all of the people who were duped by the one. You should be very concerned about them because they have much higher expectations about the performance of the one than you might.
ping for later
What stuck out the most was, of course, the “rule” bit. Disgusting, and also a bit hair-raising.
However, the guy isn’t yet POTUS elect, not until the Electoral College says so. I know, it is just a mere formality (I give little credence to the foreign birth stuff, though that’d certainly make things interesting), but it is just a little thing that the Obamanistas don’t pay much attention to that they should...THE LAW.
You wouldn't happen to have the one where he's doing the Marilyn Monroe pose over in moose garb the grate do you?
I'll have to search Google and see if I can find it. It is hilarious.
Govern? That’s just so, so, so. . .bourgeois.
...so I’ve tried to explain to her, but baby girl is convinced she could “live off the land” and wants to learn how to shoot and all that jazz. I did buy her a huge book called “Country Wisdom and Living” for Christmas. Maybe that will assuage her curiosity for a minute. Maybe once she finds out she can’t see or hear the Jonas brothers in her log cabin, she’ll change her mind.
She sounds like she has a good heart with good intentions,
So break it to her gently. ;-)
