The Kirk Cameron starred, Christian-centered, liberally mocked film 'Fireproof' has far exceeded expectations at the Box Office. With a budget of about $500,000, and little advertisement to speak of, the little-movie-with-a-message-that-could has rounded up an impressive $28.4 Million after 7 weeks in theatres, and moved up to 13th place overall. Between weekends 6 and 7 it had the smallest drop (8.7%) of all top-20 movies, meaning the feel good movie could end up with $32-35 Million by the time it completes it's run.
Comparatively, after 4 weeks Anti-Bush film 'W' continues to drop like a rock and has found just $24.2 Million and a...

Well, just have to say that I very much enjoyed “W,” and I very much appreciate and respect and like George W. Bush.
It was exactly like his biography.
Josh Brolin said that he heard President Bush liked it.
Bush did like it but he thought the movie was about someone else. His wife had to break it to him after the movie that it was about him.
I recently heard about this movie and very much would like to see it~! : )
Whatever flaws Bush may have, insecurity is not one of them.
Give it up...
Yes and as a big Michael Moore fan and a life long Democrat I highly recommend “An American Carol”. I think all Democrats/Libs/Leftists will enjoy it.
This church outfit really racked up the profit with their first “Remember the Titans” and now with “Fireproof”. Good filmakers can make good, clean films on low budgets that will entertian and bring in profits to make more. Good for them.
Oh yes, me too life long dimwit crat
Go and see An American Carol. The flattering portrayal of our lovable libs is astonishingly spot on.
Everyone will love it.
The wife and I saw “Fireproof” this past weekend. It was very good.
Say what you want about Stone, and I know I’ll get crucified for spending $10 at the movies, but “W” was absolutely hysterical. It was a great film and it completely captured the essence of Bush perfectly.

With An American Carol, I can honestly say it is the first time I ever heard a movie crowd burst into cheers of “USA USA USA” during the middle of a movie.
Also, the ACLU spot was HILARIOUS.
Been refusing to watch Stone films for 17 years...so far.
They didn’t make Remember the Titans. It was Facing the Giants. Both about a football team, but different messages.
Watch it on DVD or until it comes on cable then. It's really not a knee-jerk left-wing movie like Moore's crap. Stone has made some good films. And Stone served in Vietnam.
Fireproof is not a bad movie.
It will step on your toes if you are married though. Not just the men either. Both sexes are equally indicted.
You're right / my bad...senior moment @ 57... Perhaps I should be concerned? Although, I'm a movie fan but I'm in no way a sports fan of any sport...except women's beach volleyball... {:<0>
Strangely, the box office gave us tickets that were printed for a different movie, then told us to go ahead and use them anyway. An honest mistake, or an attempt to skew the number of Fireproof customers DOWN? I don't know.
We loved “Fireproof” as well as “Flywheel” and “Facing the Giants”. Sure, some of the supporting actors are amateurs, but they are entertaining and redeeming movies rather than culturally destructive. It’s fun to watch all these movies and see the different people show up later as different characters. Also, look for the Jay Austin Motors (from Flywheel) license plates in the two later movies.
