As you know, I was one of the foreign policy advisers on the McCain campaign who worked with Randy Scheunemann to help prep Sarah on her debate with Joe Biden. Did we outright give her a geography quiz when we started the prep? No, of course not. But yes, in the context of the prep, it slowly became apparent that her grasp of basic geo-political knowledge had major gaps. Could she have passed a multiple choice test about South Africa or NAFTA. Probably. But it was clear that she simply didn’t have the ease of knowledge that we come to expect from a major party political candidate. Other slights came up, too: Not knowing the difference between Hezbollah and Hamas. Or the difference between the Shiites and Suni. Or when it came to international terrorist organizations, knowing that the IRA was in Northern Ireland, and ETA in Spain.

The problem is, true or not, this all continues to sit out there in the mainstream and make Sarah look bad. It is just amazing to me what they have done to her. She needs to work hard (which I believe she will) to remake her image with the so called swing voters. Who cares about the libs, they’d never vote for a conservative anyway, but in order to win next time as her as the nominee, we will need swing voters.
I hope by doing these interviews the next couple of days and the governor’s convention next week, she kicks their A##!!!!!!

Why can't our own "professional" journalists scuh as Crowley check this stuff? Are they so eager to get it out first that they throw away all standards just the the MSM does? This is so frustrating.

After the original report that Palin didn't know whether Africa was a country or a continent, I complained that people were being too credulous about her supposed cluelessness. Looks like I committed the same sin (although I actually find these clams are a lot more believable than that one).
He actually says he believes the hoax is still credible, lol!

The persistent problem with these hoxes, even after they are confirmed as hoaxes is the willingness of the MSM to perpetrate the basic storyline that Sarah Palin is a dimwitted woman - which isn’t the case.
This also doesn’t excuse John McCain, a lecherous man.
So did "Marty" also hoax Carl Cameron and FoxNews so that the entire story is without substance (as it always appeared to be)????

I supported McCain, because I had my blinders on. I wanted to believe and I really truly believe that Obama is a disaster for this nation and the world is marching toward tyranny.
John McCain has never been a friend of the small government conservative, but John McCain will wrestle an alligator on behalf of his democratic colleagues in the senate.

I wouldn’t discount the willing dupes out here in “right-o-sphere” land. This sort of thing is happily propagated around here and other sites uncritically without any filters on.
Many of these so-called facts put out there by unnamed sources has been refuted by the people actually there.

After spending a couple days looking through yards of info regarding the racist, homophobic, transgenderphobic conservative blogger M.Thomas Eisenstadt, I've pretty much reached my conclusion on the subject:
There is no M. Thomas Eisenstadt.
There is no Eisenstadt Group.
Sometimes a couple words like, “Martin Eisenstadt is a fictitious source, the article is a hoax,” helps.
My day is already going better, knowing that you had to reply twice complete a thought.
Actually, each post contained it's own thought.
Don't ever lose that charm.
I think that John McCain communicates well enough.
That is why I did not vote for him.
One can get away with that and even brag about it here in Massachusetts.
Wow. Further proof of how scared the media/Dems are of Sarah.
