Their advice should be no more trusted than Iagos. Yes, Congress and the Feds sound like Iago:
Demand me nothing. What you know, you know. From this time forth I never will speak word.

No wonder McCain didn't try too hard to win.0bama will be the new Hoover, although to be fair to Herbert Hoover, he was a great humanitarian and philanthropist using his own money and had real achievements prior to becoming president.

I woke up this morning. It’s already gone.
Reminds me of an old movie about Poncho Villa played by Wallace Berry. At the end Poncho talks about needing more money. And asks him where he will get it and Poncho replies, “We will print it.”
I think W should go ahead and print a bunch with O’s face on the bill and start handing them out.

I wouldn’t think the Fed would be subject to FOI requests and I would not think interbank loans are public information.

I wouldnt think the Fed would be subject to FOI requests and I would not think interbank loans are public information. The Fed is a quasi-public institution. (In other words, it's the bastard step-child of Big Government and Big Business.) The System itself (the part that regulates the banks) is public and thus subject to FOIA, while the regional banks and other components that are private are not.

Hypocrisy is a beautiful thing, isn't it? If this was under Bill Clinton or Obama, this thread would have 500 posts. Exactly. No wonder republicans were defeated. Is this the example we set? Bush has done irreparable harm.

“Which is why the Fed need not say anything.”
Circular and nutty argument. Material events need to be disclosed.

Perhaps you don’t understand the difference between public and private companies?
To: Almondjoy
I have done more IPOs than you have brain cells. If a public company has a material change to its balance sheet or shares outstanding it has to report it.
How could you be so stupid as to not know that?

Your argument was about the FED.. which is not a public company.
What I told you was that the companies that ARE public that ARE in receipt of those funds are responsible for any information required by law for public companies.
You are probably under the belief that the FED is either a public company or a Gov’t entity.
Both would be wrong.
