The Once and Future Hillary Clinton
Time ^ | 11-5-08 | Karen Tumulty

What becomes now of Hillary Clinton? Will she run again for President? Make a bid for Senate majority leader? Go home to New York and run for governor? Does she covet a job in Barack Obama's Cabinet or maybe an appointment to the Supreme Court?

No, no, no and no, come the answers. As she told me recently, "I'm going to be focused, as I always have been, on what we're going to get done. I'm not interested in just enhancing my visibility. I'm interested in standing on the South Lawn of the White House and seeing President Obama signing into law quality, affordable health care for everybody, and voting in a big majority for clean, renewable energy and smarter economic policies.

That's what I'm all about, and I'm going to use every tool at my disposal to bring it about."

But it's hard to imagine Hillary Clinton ever playing just a supporting role.

She is now both a smaller and a larger figure than when she set out on her first presidential-campaign swing through frigid Iowa nearly two years ago.

I just hope that Zero does not appoint her to the SC.

Never happen--Michelle wants Hillary out of sight

“I’m interested in standing on the South Lawn of the White House and seeing President Obama signing into law quality, affordable health care for everybody, and voting in a big majority for clean, renewable energy and smarter economic policies.”

This struck me as hilariously funny. She is LIVID that she won’t be standing on the South Lawn as the President.

There is one thing that I don’t think people have considered about the Hillabeast. Has anyone ever thought that she might be the replacement for Ginsberg on the Supreme Court? She wouldn’t be waiting 4-8 years and she would be in there for LIFE. For a person that craves power this would be perfect for her. I think that she may have worked out a deal with Obama.

She has NO credentials to be a SC Judge. She barely passed the bar and has never been a judge.

I’d still take Hillary any day over Obamarx...no question about it.

I don’t see evidence that the Clintons’ hate America, unlike the hatred Chancellor Obamarx and his cult have.

Yep. I am a WASP, but I have heard several Blacks from various political perspectives, refer to the Black culture as “matriarchal”. Mind you, BO was NOT raised in a Black culture, but MO was. If Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy. Mama rules, BO is the ornament.

I won’t count Hillary out until she is dead. And even that I think she could negotiate.

Ha, if a good Justice retires she’ll be the deciding vote on the Supreme Court so fast ...

Me too! Perhaps the court will stay put for the next four years, at least that is my hope!

If I understand correctly, there are many openings in the District courts that President Bush has not filled....or wasn't able to fill with the DEMS control of Congress. I wish he could make appointments during the Thanksgiving/Christmas recess but don't know if that is possible. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable about that will post information.

He could make those appointments, but they’d expire as soon as the new Congress is sworn in, in the first week of Jan.

It appears that nobody's caught this line from the article yet:

(from P.2)

And when his presidency hits its inevitable bumps — whether those come from disappointing his liberal allies or enraging his conservative opponents — it would be handy to have a formidable spear catcher nearby.

************************************

If Hildabeest is the 'spear catcher' then B. Hussein 0bama would be the spear-ch****r, right?

((((snicker)))))
