It's been interesting reading conservative blogs over the past couple of days. There appears to be one main issue floating about: how should we treat President-Elect Barack Obama? There are two schools of thought. The first being that he has been elected President of the United States of America and we should treat him with the respect that is due to his office, unlike the left, who attacked President Bush from day one and compared him to Hitler, called him Chimpy, etc. Criticize his policies, but do it respectfully. Those that adhere to this school of thought seems to believe, by doing this, they will be taking the moral high ground, thus following through on their conservative principles. While the debate about just what "conservative principles" actually should be in the wake of McCain's defeat still rages, they're nonetheless all about keeping it classy, because conservatives, apparently, should be classy. The second school of thought is, basically, screw Obama, he's going to get it from all angles, and who cares if he's President---he's not their president, they don't agree with his policies, they think he's a bald-faced liar, and they're going after him.

While I appreciate what the first school is attempting to do, I have to say, my gut instinct is, if we do that, if we take the high road, Republicans will lose the next election. And the one after that. And the one after that...

So true. I often think most politicians on the Right don't even know their throats are about to be cut while they sleep.

Obama is President of the U.S. and I respect that office. But I will fight tooth and nail against any socialist and repressive policies he favors. I'm a realist and know we're up against a thug-ocracy. But you win fights by staying cool and using your wits, not by screaming at your opponent and throwing wild punches.

We need to elect a bunch of smart fighters to Congress and the RNC leadership. Newt Gingrich is my choice to head the RNC. He's smart, tough and about the only Pubbie leader I know of who understands what we're truly up against.

I, for one, vow to refrain from referring to Barack Obama as "Chimpy" or "Hitler" or any other derogatory moniker.

Instead, I will follow the lead of such high-minded world leaders like Hugo Chavez who have shown such respect to Obama and refer to him as "The Black Man".

I will also follow the lead of media stalwarts such as Evan Thomas who describe Obama as a "Creepy Creature".

If those labels are good enough for Obama's supporters, they are good enough for me.

Although I may occasionally refer to him as "B.O".

The Conservatives that have found a natural home within the Republican party for years, need to withdraw from it and become a group that pushes an agenda from outside, and is courted by either party for their votes. I figure there must be about 25% of the electorate that espouse Conservatism as their guiding principle and their goal as less government, why not become a free agent?

Soros and a group of investment bankers have been documented to have met with Obama two years ago to bankroll his roll out. It's not to far to stretch the imagination that they had the connections, money and ability to manage the roll up of oil prices due to speculation. They also had the inside track on the financial sector, the collapse of which quaranteed an Obama win. Soros pulled the money out from under Hillary and even helped finance McCain during the primaries. That way, he got to pick the players in the game.

I don't subscribe to this level of fear. An armed society is a polite society. Any attempts toward disarming society is going to be met with massive amounts of resistance. Mr. Obama will likely not choose direct confrontation, but rely on his many “Corps” to indoctrinate instead. Check out his “Office of President Elect” web site. He has proposed “Corps” for just about everything, ala Karl Marx.
