The People Have Spoken (Good One!)
Townhall ^ | November 09, 2008

Posted on 11/09/2008 12:31:04 AM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

The people have spoken and have no clue as to what they have really said. They swallowed promises of jelly beans and ice cream by a vendor who has never produced anything but a shiny brightly colored facade from which he is selling empty air. Actually it took Middle Eastern money, Marxist subversives, corrupt Chicago Political Machine, Chicago mobsters, and a lot of hard, devious work on the behalf of Obama Husain Obama to convince “don’t confuse me with the facts” masses to pull the lever for a man who has no accomplishments in his wake except for self promotion.

The reason Obama won was not because he is the better person to be president. He won because he had one goal and one goal only and that was to win. He started his ascendency a long time ago. Republicans have not been watchful and let things get out of control. He organized and made coalitions with as many groups he found that could help him. He cared not what the groups stood for or their goals. He befriended them, used them, and discarded them as it benefited him. The Republican candidate has a moral view of “fairness” that guided his campaign. This and the events that lead to the economic condition defeated our candidate.

The main reason for McCain’s defeat was that the word Republican became synonymous with failed policies, over spending, greed, and a general disregard for the people. Strange because it is the Democrats who are guilty of all these things, not that our Republican legislators and administration didn’t contribute to that Republican image. For the last three decades the American public has been programmed by our educational system for a class struggle pitting the all citizens against those who have succeeded more than the rest of us.

This has fermented a mental state where the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness has been expanded to a right of property and goods that others may possess. It is easy to persuade a public that is dissatisfied with the current situation. Remember there has never been a revolution by a satisfied public. When the public does not feel empowered it is difficult to convince them that they should be self-reliant. Regardless of the reasons or whose fault, Americans saw the surge in our country’s wealth turn into foreclosures and bankruptcies. The public felt powerless and our government’s efforts failed to make a turn around.

Distribution of wealth became very attractive. Whether that will ultimately be the result or not is to be seen. What will happen is that taxes will be increased and spending on things that can not be seen as a direct and immediate benefit to the people (such as military expenditures etc.) will be cut drastically. A definite push towards more of a socialistic America will be made starting with an attempt to socialize the health services. It will happen more slowly than some expected but the trend will start almost immediately.

One wonders what is worse, the things that he said he would do (raise taxes, bankrupt the coal industry, cut military spending including future weapons development, socialize medicine, etc), the things that he may do since he has no experience in anything but self promotion, or waiting for both of these events to happen. I have decided not to worry about what might happen or when (easy to say but hard to do). I will prepare myself to act at the time that this empty suit attempts to mess up this country. Hopefully you all, who now feel disenfranchised, will join me in this endeavor. We must be prepared to counter his attempts to put this country on a path to socialism and destruction. We have to have courage and not be afraid to put our names on petitions, letters, faxes, and emails to all the legislators and government officials. United we will be able to stem the destruction of our Constitution that was so well thought out by our forefathers, fought for, and defended by men and women who risked all to create a new and different way of life that has not been seen before.

Now is the time to start. Now is the time to seek out and mold new and inspiring men and women to represent us. The Democrats got into power in California by seeding the ground. Step by step slowly they moved in. By grooming and electing their own to the school boards, community colleges, city councils, police chiefs, mayors, assembly, and the state senate.

He won because he had one goal and one goal only and that was to win.

That and the fact White America has allowed itself to be blinded by affirmative action to the point we do not even question the qualifications of a sudo-Black candidate for the highest office in the land.

Obama not only made history for being elected to be the first Black president, he also made history for being the first President elected under the Affirmative Action mandate.

Actually, I prefer the term Moron.

Have a childhood friend whom I have stopped talking to after she informed me that she was a democrat and would vote democrat.

I figured that it would be best if I stopped talking to her, that way I would not have to tell her I think she is a moron.

I had a friend call me on the telephone the other day and after he sensed I wasn't my usual cheerful self, he asked me what was wrong. I told him I fear for my country and I told him why. He said ah, Obama isn't that bad and he tried to defend his vote for Obama. I told him to call me when he gets buyers remorse and not before!

Frankly, I am sick of Republicans losing elections every time they win on the big isues. After Reagan succeeded in ‘tear[ing] down this wall,” Americans felt safe enough to elect an adolescent to POTUS. Clinton would NEVER have been elected if the Iron Curtain and Cold War were still going.

Then, when Bush’s (McCain’s) surge succeeded in Iraq, that war was off the list of the public’s priorities and the very guy who ran against the war and the surge was elected. Go figure.

BDS played a bigger factor in this mess than anyone is giving it credit for. I heard from many Obama supporters that they just saw McCain as another W term and wanted something different.

The female need to have some assurance that they will be “taken care of” is another huge factor in this mess. I saw that something like 70% of single females that voted voted for the O. Country started down this path the moment women got the vote

republicans have to solve problems. If mccain doesn’t know how to solve the economic problems then what’s the point of sticking him in the WH to do nothing for 4 years?
Republicans have to pick people who truly understand the economy; not old war heroes.

they caught mccain on video saying he voted with Bush 90% of the time and used that in ads across the country. cheney’s endorsement also didn’t help. I don’t know how McCain could get around that.
McCain made many mistakes but I think the fix was in for any republican because they’d be tied even closer to Bush than mccain.

I am not sure any Rep could of won. No matter what their positions were. When there is a 70% “the country is headed the wrong way attitude out there it is hard to push that rock. One thing I am sure of is that McCain would of gotten completely hammered if it were not for Sarah.

“Republicans have to pick people who truly understand the economy; not old war heroes.” OR community organizers?

I honestly don’t think Obama knows shiite from shinola about economics, but will give him credit for surrounding himself with a group of prominent financial and economic advisors .. now let’s see what they do.

he doesn’t have to. All he has to do is redistribute the wealth and his supporters will be happy. If that’s not enough, he can blame the greedy capitalists.

that’s what I am saying: republicans must solve problems while democrats merely take advantage of them.

Someone has to make wealth for them to distribute! At what point do the wealth-makers object? If I run my own business, I’ll make damned sure I don’t earn enough in a year to trigger the higher tax rate. SO, if I have to cut back production and lay someone off in October or November, so be it.

I agree 100%.
But IMHO we need to poll FR readers and focus our efforts on select issues rather than everyone just write their elected officials about what bugs them.
We need to make our numbers count through solidarity.

but you see, they don’t really want wealth.
They just want everyone to be the same. It *bothers* them if someone makes a lot more than everyone else even if they benefit from a richer society. So they vote for democrats so that they won’t be jealous of those who are successful.

Look in your workplace parking lot, anyone with an Obama sticker is the one to lay off, they wanted the change, give it to them.

btw if everyone just lays off people then the next part of the plan comes in: govt jobs, nationalized industries and community service

There is a simple solution, add an amendment to the long line of others that requires ALL voters to pass a test before they "earn" the right to vote. A simple 10 question test. It would drop the number of qualified voters to 25% of current. (I can HOPE for CHANGE!)

First question: "How many states are in the USA." That one alone would knock out Obombus and 50% of those who voted this year.

I thought at one time that McCain as a moderate was the only R that could win. I now think that was mistake, McCain would have been destroyed without the out of character Palin VP pick showing all of us that a Conservative on the ticket made all the difference...if we had a principled and well spoken C on the ticket, we very well could have stopped the BHO win. McCain was absolutely unable to carry any message. McCain got pwnd...he was the problem.

Considering everything involved we didn’t have an election, we had a coup. That’s correct our country has been overthrown.

Man the barricades!
