That and the fact White America has allowed itself to be blinded by affirmative action to the point we do not even question the qualifications of a sudo-Black candidate for the highest office in the land.

Obama not only made history for being elected to be the first Black president, he also made history for being the first President elected under the Affirmative Action mandate.

The female need to have some assurance that they will be “taken care of” is another huge factor in this mess. I saw that something like 70% of single females that voted voted for the O. Country started down this path the moment women got the vote

Let me suggest a slight alteration to your comment.

He won because he had one goal and one goal only and that was to win, and was willing to break any rule to get it done.

I think breaking rules actually worked in his favor, as it induced cognitive dissonance in the McCain campaign. McCain felt forced to say sweet things about Obama, to counter the fact that he (McCain) couldn't really believe that a Senator would stoop to the depths that Obama did.
