BOYCOTT of FOX Day 3
Vanity | 11-08-08 | Veritas2002

Posted on 11/08/2008 1:49:12 AM PST by veritas2002

The call for a BOYCOTT of the FOX channel continues into the third day. This is a protest against the scurrilous attacks on Sarah Palin by Carl Cameron and others. FOX also has taken up sides with the drive-by media and no longer is 'fair and balanced.'

Spread the news of the BOYCOTT. We are looking for pressure from FOX's sponsors to straighten out their acts.

Be sure to email Fox News and tell them exactly why you are boycotting them, if you are.
Otherwise they will just assume conservative views went out of vogue with the election of 0bama, and will tack to the left trying to stay relevant.

Make sure any boycott attempt doesn’t backfire by being misinterpreted.

I should have said: Fox News obviously has already tacked to the left after assuming conservative views have gone out of vogue as evidenced by the election of 0bama, and any boycott, without conveying that they are being boycotted and why would just be taken as further proof of that assumption and encourage them to tack left even more.

Campaign Carl WAS a little too giddy dishing the dirt on Gov.Palin, but he’s young and liberal stupid.
Still,Fox News is much better than the rest and Rupert really loves the leftist NYC/DC coctail circles so Roger is doing the best he can.
Take Glenn Beck’s arrival to the channel as a gesture of good will and abandon this self destructive, though good intentioned, effort.

They’re moving left. I won’t. I’m done with them. They are wimpy little leftist appeasers nowadays.

I know, Bill, you are the hyper-wise moderate and we’re but right-wing extremist dolts — you remind us almost daily.

Fair & Balanced is getting very boring. It’s more like Weak & Indecisive.

Bill O’Reilly is such a middle of the road putz.

Shepard Smith is such a middle of the road, a-hole of a putz.

Greta, well, she’s a lawyer, nuff said. Is she news? Is she commentary? Her fog is a strain as a viewer.

John Stossel makes these people look like marshmallows.

I’m all for it.. I only watch Greta for now. O’rielly is a blow hard... peddling his webiste and books, Steve Touchey of Fox and Friends is peddling his book, Dick Morris is peddling his boof, Megayn Kelly likes the dramatic interview without getting to the core issue ala bill O’Reilly style. I can’t stand Alan Colmbs. Shep is a closet lib.

If you want to go viral with anything - do so in getting the American people to cancel their NYT subscription. They are junk bond status right now and are in a perfect position to fall. We have to make the Media wake up.

Foc is getting to be too much like CNN or the TV show EXTRA with news commentary that has moved to the center left. They have forgotten what got them there. Lets remind them.

I don't watch ANY network news. I don't have Fox News Channel and never have. I pay for basic cable. I rarely even watch the local TV news except for news of inclement weather. All TV news is distorted.

People should stop investing their time in TV looking for "fairness." It's not there and it's not going to be there.

“O’rielly is a blow hard... peddling his webiste and books.”

It’s sickening, isn’t it?

I can’t believe he’s allowed to do it EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!

If he waves his pen at me one more time...I swear...!

;)

With Brit Hume leaving at the end of the year, there’s one less reason to watch FOX.

I began watching FOX during and after the 2000 election and continued to watch faithfully through about 2004. Slowly, my viewing time has dropped off. Now I watch, perhaps, one program a month. I rely on the internet for my news.

Molly Henneberg, Megyn Kelly, and Jenna Lee present a real problem for me in joining your crusade.
But I do wish you the best.

This is a protest against the scurrilous attacks

I believe the majority of the MSM are dishonest, malignant narcissists and I am joining the efforts to expose their biased coverage.

Well, for whatever it’s worth, during the plague of The One ( can you say 8 years, class? ) about to descend on us, we just aren’t patronizing any of the Media that inflicted the new little big fraud on us.

I enjoy Fox News. They're about the only reputable news source left.

They shouldn't be abandoned because Carl Cameron reported one story which you didn't like.

Sadly, my wife and I agree that we will not watch Shep Smith, under any circumstances. That for us is difficult, because he was our favorite anchor when he was at the network affiliate in Orlando. But we are stunned at how horribly subjective and partisan he has turned out to be.

He was on the Factor the other night and claimed he's an objective anchor. My wife and I just looked at each other and laughed. He's anything but a fair and balanced, objective, news anchor, since his commentary seeps into his news reporting every time he utters a sentence.

fOX is supposed to be NEWS. Karl Ka-moron reported unsourced rumors and gossip. Ted O'Baxter let him do it on his show, and then had the nerve to defend it the following evening by insisting that they were reporting NEWS.

When I tune in to get the NEWS, I want facts. I want sources. I want reporters to do their freakin' job. What I DON'T want is reporters either making stuff up, or reprting stuff other people made up in order to destroy the reputation of anyone... whether it is Palin, Obama, or whoever.

To me, this is more despicable than anything the other networks or print media did throughout the campaign.

These folks need to learn that they get to report the news, but they don't get to invent it or cover for others who invent it. Especially when someone's reputation and career are on the line.
