Republicans not supporting Sarah (It has to stop)

Posted on 11/07/2008 8:47:56 PM PST by se_ohio_young_conservative

I feel a strong need to get this message out there. Sarah needs our support. And those of you who are insulting her and saying she is "not smart" or "not Presidential material" are insulting all of those people who went out into the rain and cold to watch her over the last few months. You are putting the future of your party at risk. We may have a situation from the movie "Troy" develop within the GOP.

We need to rally behind her. We need to stand up for her, because she took a lot of sharp cuts for standing up for us. She is the leader of our party now.

It seems like we have some Republicans who buy into the MSM lies. It seems like we have some Republicans who base their opinions of Sarah on the way their co-workers talk.

Hey folks, we tried to do it your way. We picked went RINO and RINO fails.

When we give the American people the "real thing'. We seem to win. We have a genuine Reagan conservative in Sarah.

I already suspect RNC has a plan to stack Jindal in with a couple of other socially conservative candidates to cross out Sarah's numbers and push someone like Romney on us in 4 years.

We must be looking for this and we must not let it happen.

I agree that we should support her but she is not the leader of our party. Palin is a great conservative but she is a very damaged good after this election.

America is not ready to elect a woman President because most women are not ready to vote for a woman President.

“Wimps” is a polite term for what people like that person are.

The impolite but incontrovertible term is “losers.” As in lost the Congress in ‘06, lost to a Congress with barely 20% approval in ‘08, and lost the White House in ‘08.

I prefer to speak in broad generalities for the most part, when communicating to the electorate, because unfortunately, details seem to bore most voters.

What are you going to accomplish by trying to tell people the same broad generalities they've been hearing for years? Conservatives need to offer more detailed explanations. Not half-hour lectures, but probably 1.5 to three minutes. Enough to show that they actually have some real ideas.

No, not Duncan.
The leader is the one who inspires the great majority of the members. This would be one who in vast numbers descended upon any site she appeared. This would be one who commands the respect and admiration of people like Limbaugh and jla. So yes, Sarah Palin is the de facto leader of the G.O.P. We'll take your little vote on the matter later on if that will make you happy.

By the way, when Reagan was not yet POTUS, or even chairman of the RNC, would you, or would you not, have deemed him the 'leader' of the Republican Party?

I guess I’m not expressing myself very well and I apologize. I was agreeing with you, and expressing why I appreciated the suggestions you made.

I am very much a “detail” person, as well as a “process thinker”, so a 1 1/2 to 3 minute comment would be “broad” to me; but concise enough for the average voter to get. What I was trying to express to, although rather poorly, I admit, was that people like me forget that most voters know very little on most issues, and don’t want to know the ins and outs and every possible ramification, like I do. They want a sound byte, a clip, something they can catch on the go.

My eyes were opened this election on just how big a role commercials play as well. I cannot tell you the number of times I heard someone mention something they heard “on a commericial” regarding our Senate race.

We have no leaders.....we are adrift —— the point Greta made this evening. There is a void....who will fill it?
The moderate GOPs are bandying about the names of Huckabee and Romney.

I am retaining in consideration only names such as Palin, Jondall, Hunter........ we need a fresh bold new start, no more RINOs!

I’m glad that this is coming out. While I thought that the Democratic P.U.M.A. was going to help put McCain / Palin into the Oval Office, I hadn’t considered that there was still a significant conservative equivalent of P.U.M.A.

Part of Sarah’s charm is that she is not from Washington. It would be a mistake for her to go to the US Senate. That is part of her charm that she is ‘not one of them’ inside the beltway.

She should follow the Reagan model. If she can capture the Chairmanship of the Republican Governor’s Association, raise money for 2010 candidates, write a book (with a ghost writer), set up a PAC for special needs children, push through the $48M pipeline deal down to the lower 48, cut taxes in Alaska again, reduce spending and corruption in Alaska (as she has done) and hit the lecture circuit talking about energy while building on her alliances that she gained from this 2008 election cycle - she will have positioned herself well - and very similiar to what Reagan did after he lost in 1976.

Sarah always came back stronger after losing her first attempt in her pursuits. In the meantime, someone separately should set up a website (marketing effort) that pursues the Media and Press and go after these TV networks and print media such as the NYT while it is at a junk bond status, and go viral with getting people across America to cancel their subscriptions.

With a watered down Media and Press, a built up profile of Sarah.... we have a basis to move forward.

All of us should fight for Sarah. She upholds the traditions of the Republican party and conservative principles. She is a threat to the Dem;s and they know it. Let’s not get cute. Jindal I think is not as electable as a Sarah. Obama won because he is the first American Idol President. Let’s play that game too... backed by tue Republican principles... Sarah can win over defectors.

I ask you..Who among us could have tolerated the barrage of lies put out by the MSM against Sarah Palin the minute she appeared on the scene? They, and especially the feminists, hated her because she did not abort her baby boy. She is a living example of opposition against the core of their ideology. Many of them hate men, traditional families and many do not have and will not have children. Therefore, they want other women to follow their lead. You know, ideas and worldviews which go against nature eventually will fail, because nature always strives to reassert herself. I believe the very idea of abortion is so abhorrent to many that those who support it must keep any image of what it truly is out of the public eye. The basic instinct in normal women is to have and nurture children and a basic instinct in a mother is to protect that child from the moment of conception. The very image of Sarah Palin and her family evokes fear in these people. They absolutely must not allow an image other than theirs to permeate society. That kind of competition might expose their views for what they are. A nation which turns against it's most helpless with eventually turn against it's elderly and others who are inconvenient. Nature will not tolerate that forever.

...”I’m not too worried. Remember, they said the same things about Reagan”...

Yes. And, go back to see the cruel things said about Abe Lincoln. This really is nothing new. It is just that the MSM now has the technology to spread lies around the world in a nanosecond.

It is the party of Mel Martinez and the Bush family. They made it clear I and others like me are not wanted. They got their a$$es kicked and it is their fault. The Republican party, the GOP and the RNC can kiss my a$$.

Dude, this is another useless vanity.

It isn't even true. Conservatives are defending Palin. We know a lot of RINOs aren't. They're dead,Dude.

And back to the useless f'in vanity part. There are lots of threads about Palin that are active. Go post on one of them.

i don’t underestimate her... at least, i don’t estimate her desire or willingness... it’s the voting public—i can’t see them accepting her... lots of people are non-thinking and pretty much stupid... my sister, who really knows nothing about Sarah Palin said this about her: “She reminds me of Mommy Dearest.” when i asked her why, she had no reason...
