CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham said Friday the GOP lost the White House because the party was tainted by corruption, overspending and "sometimes came across as a bunch of grumpy old men."

. . . . .

"All we have to do is go back to the basics of fiscal conservatism, with a smile and come up with new ways to communicate with the younger voter," said Graham, who captured 58 percent of the vote in winning re-election against a little-known opponent.

I hate this guy. But he is absolutely right on this one. I remember Reagan and his smiles and good humor. That was what made him teflon.

EVERYTHING sticks to the Republican Party. Reagan is still the model. Graham at least has a clue on this one.

I did not even know that Graham had a primary opponent; it must have been one unknown, for voters won’t vote for unknown candidates unless Oprah tells them to.

Great idea. The next RNC chairman should be dedicated to removing the first primary from NH. I don’t think he would get very far on that point, however, as Republicans think they must have NH, but it is Democrat now and likely to remain so.

I wonder how McCain likes his best buddy calling him a “grumpy old man”? LOL

Graham should just sit down and shut up. He has no allegiances to anyone. He needs to “knock that off”.

Apparently trashing the free market and capitalism in favor of marxism is positive according to Graham. I can’t believe this guy was reelected.

It’s amazing how many Republicans fail to study and follow Ronald Reagan’s great example - here we have the most important figure of our lifetimes, a highly successful R. president, and most in the party fail to study his speeches, ideas, and methods.

Hell, even his immediate successor, George H.W. Bush, acted as though he were not living in the shadow of the greatest President of our lifetimes — so Bush resumed his RINO ways and got defeated by a lying huckster from Arkansas with a trail of bimbo eruptions.

Every Republican should be required to study, discuss, and analyze everything that brought success to President Reagan.

When are you going to get rid of that light in the loafers RINO?

This year was your last chance, by the time his 6 years are up he will probably be married to Barney Frank!

Nothing ever stuck to Reagan. People loved him, even if they said they didn't, even freaking Tip O'Neill. But Republican politicians act as if he were radioactive and dare not speak his name.

"I don't believe they are all liberal," Graham said. "I think they were attracted to his positive message and we sometimes came across as a bunch of grumpy old men. We have got to knock that off."

...we sometimes came across as a bunch of grumpy senile old men.

Fixed it for ya, Grahamnesty. If he and the GOP/RNC cannot see what BO's choices of Jenny Grandmole and Bonior the Pit Yorkie portend for the country, we are lost.
