Sorry to disappoint the wise ones, but her star shines just as brightly for me as it ever did, if not brighter. Sarah is the most exciting conservative since Reagan, period. Only to the populist, redneck wing of the party. She may have one leg of the winning GOP coalition stool eating out of her hand, but no republican can win without all three legs.

not true. she brings the reform/small government, strong military, and probably the fiscal leg too. I am not aware of her total history up there fiscally, but I know she reworked the oil contracts and sent money back to the people. Sounds like the right track to me.

Only to the populist, redneck conservative wing of the party. There, fixed it for you. The "big tent" approach was just tried and it was an abysmal failure. If not for Palin, it would've been a humiliating Obama landslide.
The woman is a leader who stands for something, and that is what attracts people. It's what pulled so many Democrats to Reagan.

Sorry to burst your little thought bubble, but Sarah excited more than the 'rednecks'. I knew many well educated, professional people, who were very excited about her candidacy. She was the only reason that McCain did as well as he did.
As for those three legs of the party, the Moderates, in this election, mostly went for Obama, and even 20% of conservatives went for him, presumably to 'teach the Republicans a lesson'. That went so well for them in 2006, I guess they wanted to do it again. /s

The martini-sipping crowd can go become Democrats for all I care. I hear they need some more pathetic, panty-wearing traitors in their party.

(Beware of so-called Republicans who trash Sarah Palin.)

Yeah... that's why she drew in crowds almost as big as Obambi's on shorter notice, less budget, as VP, and in EVERY area they went to including Californistan.
Yer' kinda blind to a few things. I'd suggest correcting that attitude.

Neither a redneck or pro-populist here. I would have voted against Obama on Tuesday. With Palin I voted for McCain.
In actuality it is the first time I have voted for a Republican rather than against a Democrat.
Bush I against Dukakis
Dole against Clinton
Bush against Gore
Bush against Kerry
McCain against Obama
For Palin against McCain.
She is Reagan early in his governorship of Cali. Give her time to polish her national credentials.
