News has been circulating around GOP insiders for weeks that McCain campaign honchos Rick Davis and Steve Schmidt were planning to blame Sarah Palin for McCains loss. This was expected to be an effort to punt the blame for their own failures to the side of the ticket that was most popular with the base, attracted the largest rally crowds, and scared the living bejeepers out of the opposing party.

Michael Reagan says blame Bush not Palin

“all this backbiting is unproductive..”
Maybe, but perhaps not, I can’t think of a better way for Governor Palin to distance herself from McCain then this little tempest in a teapot.
McCain spent his time saying “I’m not George Bush” Palin won’t have to spend hers saying “I’m not John McCain..”
“About Obama reneging on his agreement to use public financing.”
I think the reason the McCain did not push this harder was that it appeared most of Obama’s financing was coming from many small contributions, thus not violating the spirit of being beholden to big money interests. Of course, if anyone has different information???
I have to agree, the left does not want to have to deal with Sarah again.
See my post #359 for an amplification of your comments here about Palin.
Anyone pushing this garbage about Palin is nothing more than an evil liar or an ignorant scumbag, and it should be explained to them EXACTLY why they are either of those things.
John McCain is a RINO scumbag.
The REpublicans will never get another dime out of me. It’s time we formed our own party.
Any newbies that immediately start attacking the Pubs is suspect. Especially with all the online Obot imposters during the recent election season. If your FRiend can’t handle the heat, he definitely needs to get out of the kitchen! However, if what you say is so, then I’m sure he’ll come up to speed right quick. :-)
I’m sure obama is pleased with that vote
Comrade Juan McNuts is a loser.
How'd that Amnesty thingie work, Juan? 30% of Hispanics voted for you, worse than Bush. Just can't get no respect, huh?
Don't let the door hit you in the A$$ on the way to retirement home.
HUH
I’m not fan of Romney but this has nothing to do with him or Huck though I wish both of them had got on the campaign trial more than they did
infact I remember seeing Huck saying not so nice things about McCain on his new show
Saying that Romney might have had a better chance because of the economy
but alas we’ll never know
Count me in that group. :-) However, newbies that propose schemes to hurt the GOP are suspect, especially with all the ombies pretending to be conservatives/GOP members online during this election season.
agreed
in our primaries we have to let just republicans vote not independents as that is the reason why MCCain got elected
the GOP needs to stop all this illegal money, find out how they did it, ban it so we do not run against all of it again in 4 years
and then
we have to ban all independence from voting in our primaries
these two things need to be priority of the party or we’re looking to lose again in 4 years
we need to to ban any one form voting in our primaries except republicans , independents is the reason why McCain won
then we need to ban pre paid credit cards, make public all people to contribute to elections no matter how small
if we do not do this then we might as well give obama 8 years and 3 to 4 supreme court judges
Bill Sammons saw it for what it was...scapegoating.
How does requesting money back from the McCain campaign, ostensibly because McCain continues to allow these vicious Palin rumors to run around the world, 24-hours after they were announced by “conservative” Fox News.
Carl Cameron rattled all of these things off on the top-rated Fox News show after being with the McCain camp over a year.
I only see this as supporting conservatism. As I wrote to you earlier, to which you didn’t respond, I also requested back my donation today.
This can’t possibly hurt the GOP, which I already despised.
correct and it has to stop
only republicans should vote in our primary no one else period
That is an incomplete sentence. It should read:
“How does requesting money back from the McCain campaign, ostensibly because McCain continues to allow these vicious Palin rumors to run around the world, 24-hours after they were announced by conservative Fox News, hurt Republicans?”
McCain is not to blame here. Thanks to W's inept and incompetent leadership he had a very tough hill to climb. He was doing fine until the mini-meltdown of the economy.
Palin was not without her faults as a candidate either.
Yes and apparently “conservative” Fox News continues to play the same segment non-stop today. My mother heard Queer Carl’s voice from her kitchen and yelled “he needs to get a life”. After I explained it was the same segment now 24 hours old she said “oh, well they all need to get a life then”.
The wisdom of the elderly.
That's a flat out lie! I heard Rush today.
Well I heard Rush today and he most certainly DID believe the rumors so maybe you were somewhere else when he was talking about it.
