The effort within the McCain campaigns upper ranks to pin Sen. John McCains loss of the presidential election on Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is now in full swing, and Fox News Carl Cameron eagerly plays the gossip columnist.
On Fox Report last night with Shephard Smith, Cameron said he learned during the campaign that many within the McCain team were concerned that Palin lacked the degree of knowledgeability to be a heartbeat away from the presidency but agreed not to report the details until the after the election.
YOU GOT THAT RIGHT! I started contributing to Palin 2012 yesterday! I also stopped watching Fox... I can get my news from drudge headlines!
The ONLY one worth a damn on FOX is Hannity! I wouldn't give you two cents for the rest of 'em!
I'll watch Hannity with the remote in my hand so I can mute Colmes.
And OReilly who often complains about smear merchants but he gave that bozo Cameron plenty of air time to bloviate.
Cameron dug himself a huge journalistic hole from which he will never emerge.
Carl was quite the swishy little dirt disher, wasn’t he?
I’m on a brief pit stop, but I’ll respond.
Didn’t hear Rush’s statments you cite, but did hear the priceless tapes of George Stephanopoulos and CHarlie Rose,
who were self=mystified at the “creepy cult of personality”
they now see for the first time in their new “President”, and his legions of lemming followers. THey were microanalyzing his every move during his acceptance speech. I am sure, however, they’ll get into line soon enough.
I do the exact same. My house is the 'no liberal physco babble spin zone'.
You know it. They could not have got under my skin with a better person.
Eloquently and passionately stated.
I just posted this on the FOX comments web page
Carl Cameron, thanks to you FOX is joining MSNBC and CNN as blocked channels in my home. Before Palin, I publicly stated that a McCain for President yardsign would never cast a shadow on my front lawn. After he picked Palin, I would of crawled on broken glass to vote for the ticket. I wont put up with that kind of trash talk, from Carl, Fox, McCain insiders, anybody. PALIN 2012
I agree entirely. Aside from my opposing BHO, Palin was the only positive reason that I voted for McCain.
The problem is that stories like these are only reported about republicans/conservatives. The only reporter who enjoyed reporting on Lewinsky-gate was Matt Drudge, when Newsweak wouldn't touch the story. Reporters need to be motivated to get the scoop, rather than being the tools of one party or other.
The real jerks in this story are the pathetic weasels who fed all this crap to Cameron, and McLame, for not coming forth and refuting this.
Why? He’s likely too old to run again for President in 2012, and if he DID he might well want her as VP.
She’s very young for a candidate, notwithstanding Obama. She could well be the VP in 2012, not the Presidential candidate.
The strongest proponents of Romney, over at NR, seem as upset at the Palin-bashing as anybody. Of course, there were some at NR who attacked her long ago, but I don’t remember them or people like Bill Krystal being pro-Romney folks.
I have no doubt that someone who was a Romney supporter might be attacking Palin. There are a lot of people here who supported other canddiates who attacked various opponents.
Good show!!!!!!!
I think we have a wire crossed. I was saying that the Mitt crowd may want to fear Palin not McCain. McCain is done as far as a Presidential candidate. As a matter of fact, his like should be removed from our party now. They blew it like Terry Mcauliffe did in 2000 and 2004. I think we learn from that. Our Terry McAuliffe's blew it in 2008. Let's not give them another chance in 2012.
I look at Palin as if she is one of us. An outsider and one willing to stand up against the insider types. To me, this should be the future of our Party.
Are you really willing to go on record saying you believe a 44 year old college educated woman who has held three government posts doesn't know Africa is a continent, because an "unnamed source" claims so?
Really?
I wont support her for a national office.
Why?
Yeah, I said that, and I believe it..he did the best he could....for him. It wasn't somebody else's best, it was his.
McCain really thinks that he is a person who can cross over to the Dems, and to him, that is a good thing...however, I think he is misguided...I feel sorry for him that he didn't/doesn't know any better....he went through all that work for nothing. He had all the chances in the world to be more aggressive with Obama, but instead he told his rally that they didn't have to be afraid of an Obama presidency. He couldn't say it like it really was, that we clearly had a right to be afraid of an Obama presidency. Heaven forbid he might hurt somebody's feelings, and take some criticism from the press. Whoop de doo. Now I say that was just plain foolish. And that certainly was not good for us.
I voted for Sarah.
All your points are right on the money. This is a blatant smear.
If EVER it was said by Sarah Palin it was entirely in jest
No offense, but you might as well have told us that the chicken entrails you conducted this morning told you Palin hurt the ticket. Exit polling has been worthless in this country for some time.
No more of these old RINOs who've struggled out of the DC tarpit or spent their time as a governor pushing liberalism and the status quo. We're not taking it anymore, and if you don't like it you should find another party.
