When Hillary was the favored Dem candidate in '07 and after she had won some Jan primaries, I tried telling other FReepers to look out, that the amount of $ Obama took in for month of January was overwhelming...and if the Repubs tried to pit the likes of Romney vs. Obama, it'd would be a disaster.
We kept saying back then: Imagine the media + the Obama folks pitting Obama vs. Romney -- a man who when he was 30 yrs old belonged to a church that denied blacks to be part of their priesthood. I predicted, along with others, that it would be a media bloodbath against Romney.
Sure enough. I was right. Obama, not Clinton, won. Sure enough, time is showing exactly how the other side and the mainstream Media will go after anybody in the way of their agenda -- the ad attacks in CA, for example, against the Mormon church for its support of Prop 8...the protests in SLC for the same reason.
If the attacks are fast & furious for baseless reasons (Prop 8 right now), just think how the attacks would come during an extended 2012 campaign where the attacks based upon Mormon racist doctrine would actually have some basis.
That is not strength. That would be playing into the hands of the Democrats who want to turn everything into a referendum on racism. That is pure weakness!

49% is a minority. Liberals and moderates outnumber conservatives by about 2:1. If conservatives are to win elections, they must pull more than 50% of the moderates over to their side. If they have only conservatives, they lose.
Just wanted to use a little leverage that I care what happens to the good people within the party.
The only difference between the very left and the very right is the race they proclaim as supreme. If you take a leader of the Arian Nation and Rev. Wright and switched speaches just change the race, you wouldn’t see a difference.
