I have been reading some of the crap on this board after the election and some of it is shocking.
I've seen plenty of vanities...but to me vanities arent the problem....the messages contained in many of them reflect a mindset that IMHO has no place here.
I've always thought of FR as a place where Conservatives (not Republicans) dominate and idiots kind of hang around the periphery sniping with their stupid notions. But (more and more) you read some of the dumbest crap here...and then see a coterie of nitwits chiming in with their agreement. Allot of it is the type of stuff borne out of mindsets (everything but the truth) that dominate on liberals sites.
IMHO, Jim should boot a grip of these dummies like he has before. They run off and start their own anti-FR websites (that eventually die on the vine). But they do not belong here anymore.
We're not about opposition for the sake of opposition. We (Conservatives) have principles. But you cant violate your principles while trying to promote them at the same time. Lying, half-truths, vague implications, charges without a shred of evidence, paranoia, etc, etc. That is not how we get down. Or at least shouldnt be.
Some of you all need to check yourselves. And if you dont, I hope for the good of this website, Jim does.
I started from the statement by the founder of FR. I know why someone like you would want us to stuff this “test”, because it reveals exactly who you are and how you’re hiding behind the skirt tails of conservatism. Kiss off, RINOs. You’ve done enough damage to the Republican party.

As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc.
He can kick me off any time he wants to. If you want to be in charge of deciding who stays and who goes, take it up with him.

***I do not want to be in charge of that, I’ve never wanted to be in charge of that, and the whole point isn’t to kick anyone off. You’d know that if you read my post with understanding. That seems to be a consistent problem with you. My aim isn’t to kick anyone off, it’s just to bring their positions out into the open. There are simply too many jerks like you around here masquerading as conservatives. A litmus snapshot would show that, and you guys couldn’t hide any more. It’s okay to have big-tent conservatism, but we need the lights to be on. When the lights come one, cockroaches like you scurry to the corners.
Okay, so you want to be annointed as the gold standard of conservativism. Stuff your labels.
I’ll take that as a label. It beats yours: Bug who scurries when light turns on. I’m all for light over darkness.
hail kevmo! all about the light!
Purge yourself!
TL: Some insult.
Kevmo: Response insult.
TL: Some other insult.
Kevmo: Different, new insult.
TL: Twist on an old insult.
Kevmo: Double twist on old insult.
TL: Can’t let you have the last insult.
Kevmo: Oh, whatever, have the last insult if it makes you feel better.
Usual response: Crickets.
Whatever, dude. You’ve scurried away so many times when freepers have turned the lights on that there should be a nickname for it. If you and your tactics are part of the solution, the problem will never be solved.
I’ll walk away from a flame war. If that messes with you, tough.
No. It’s not.
I agree.
Me too.
That is just a beginning, a teaser/appetizer that I whipped up in 10 minutes of brainstorming. A real litmus matrix would need to be hammered out on across-the-board issues.
Perhaps you’d like to open a thread with me on this topic?
