Operation Leper (keeping track of so-called "conservatives" smearing Sarah Palin!)
RedState.com ^ | 11/05/08 | Erick Erickson

Posted on 11/05/2008 8:52:18 PM PST by KentTrappedInLiberalSeattle

RedState is pleased to announce it is engaging in a special project: Operation Leper.

We're tracking down all the people from the McCain campaign now whispering smears against Governor Palin to Carl Cameron and others. Michelle Malkin has the details.

We intend to constantly remind the base about these people, monitor who they are working for, and, when 2012 rolls around, see which candidates hire them. Naturally then, you'll see us go to war against those candidates.

It is our expressed intention to make these few people political lepers.

They'll just have to be stuck at CBS with Katie's failed ratings.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

P.S. - Did I ever tell you how RedState was able to stock Gov. Palin's campaign plane with twenty of these?. We were glad to. And we were glad not to mention it at the time. We are rooting for Sarah Palin. Don't make us add you to our list. Do you really want to be next to Kathleen Parker in the leper colony?

I’ve been reading these forums for years. After the results of this election, I have no choice but to get more involved and become less of a bystander. I’ll do my best not to let you down.

Excellent idea—I called Fox, RNC, state GOP, etc. but now that election is over; no one really cared

From the Ace of Spades site, earlier today:

*************************

Just had a tip from a max McCain donor who called their office to find out if McCain would defend Palin. He gave his name and explained he had donated the max, establishing he deserved some amount of customer service.

"That person," this idiot insisted, "has already been fired."

"You mean Randy Sheunemann? He wasn't the one smearing her, he was the one defending her."

"You don't understand," the guy "arrogantly" responds (characterization from source), "He's been fired. It's been handled."

"You don't seem to understand. Sheunemann is not the person smearing Palin," my guy says again.

"Look," the guy says, becoming irritated on top of being arrogant, "Senator McCain cannot step out and defend Palin every single time someone says something bad about her."

"Can he do it once?"

Hang up.

He called back to get the guy's name. He got hung up on again.

*******************

... and that's how the John McCain campaign stands up for the one individual solely responsible for his not ending up electorally (and humiliatingly) routed, 49 states to 1.

No honor.

None what. so. EVER.

RINO ALERT:

Nicolle Wallace -- White House Assistant to the President for Communications Nicolle Devenish Wallace served as Communications Director for Bush-Cheney '04. Prior to joining the campaign, Devenish was Special Assistant to the President and Director of Media Affairs at the White House where she oversaw regional press strategy and outreach. Before joining the Bush Administration, Devenish was Florida Governor Jeb Bush's Press Secretary and later Communications Director for the Florida State Technology Office. Devenish also served California's Assembly Republican Caucus from 1997 to 1998 and worked for the California Republican Party in 1998. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkley and her master’s degree from Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

I found it beyond the pale of believability; that Sarah, a college graduate, who grew up in a school teacher’s home, would not have the slightest grasp of geography! LOL!

Who would believe that a Christian, who gives money to missions and probably gets monthly updates, wouldn’t know that Africa was a continent—with several different countries?! That is so ridiculous, that it definitely sullies everything else these losers had to say. They are lying...flat out lying.

[Nicolle] Wallace left an executive job at CBS to join the campaign.

Interesting!

The phrase "South Africa" could be used to describe a section of the African continent.

After all, we refer to North Africa

Another footnote on Wallace...

Worked with Katie Couric at CBS.There is a link to an article somewhere but I’ll find it later.

Yesterday a Republican state senator called into a talk radio station I was listening to (Howie Carr in Boston). He had heard through a political grapevine that the reason the staffers were smearing Palin was to clear the way for Jeb Bush! JB seems like a good man, but the Bush name in politics over. Since Wallace worked for J.Bush I think it is safe to say Wallace is the main culprit so far.

One more thing, here’s a article from Politico in Oct. I know their history, but in hindsight they right on the money..

Maybe Mark Sanford will be ready to start campaigning for 2012 when he finishes his 2nd term as Gov of SC? I would like to see Sanford/Jindal and Palin in the mix for the next run for the WH.

Sanford would be another great choice. Hopefully they’d be able to develop their debating and campaign skills during the primaries and we should have a solid winner in the end.

I do *not* want to see Huckabee or Romney anymore.

Let's start bombarding not the McCain campaign, but the McCain SENATE offices.

Let's hound McCain out of his Senate seat.

Scorched Earth deserves scorched Earth.

you posted, "I would gladly make it my own personal hobby to dig up dirt on Nina Easton. That woman was beyond snobbish and boring toward Sarah."

Boy, did you hit a nerve with me........I was so maaad at how condescending she was.........especially the last two weeks of the campaign....just the expressions on her face were that of an effete snob..I used to like her but I have lost all respect for her.

I wouldn't be surprised one bit if Fox loses ratings....all these years they have been supported by Republicans and conservatives, but they have ticked off much of their viewership during this election cycle.

I would like him, Jeb, to run in the senate against Nelson.

It would knock out one democrat.

A senator would be fine.

Hannity said he wouldn’t be surprised if it’s RATS doing it. They would have a vested interest in doing it.

Carl Cameron is now on my sh*t-list too. What he did was the worst kind of irresponsible, yellow journalism.

Nicolle Devenish Wallace appears to be a RINO/globalist of major proportions.
