When you lose an election like we just did, it brings out the best those family, friends, and acquaintences of yours who don't share your political beliefs.
In 2004, I tried my best not to gloat at all because I understood that for many of our opponents, politics is their religion and to watch Kerry lose, it was like watching a family member die. I get no pleasure in being a jackass and trying to rub salt into people's wounds.
Liberals generally have no such reservations, so I'm sure we've all gotten an earful today.
So let's start a thread for posting some of the dumbest things people have said to us today at the advent of Obamanation. It might be the kind of thing we can look back on in 2010 or 2012 and say, "Oh yeah, I forgot what that little snot said."
The best one I heard today was this exchange:
“So did you vote for Obama?”
me: “No..he’s a marxist”
“What’s marxist?”
baaa baaa obaaama....sheeple fools...
I am wondering if we know the same person on facebook or there are more saying that.
We’ve had various things said to household members. Our older children were accused of being racists because they weren’t for Obama. This has gone on for weeks though. Never mind that they could go to school elsewhere, and yet they attend schools that are 95%+ nonwhite.
One of our daughters was at work, and she is supervised by a young lady from Kenya. A gushy, squishy white liberal middle aged+ man came over to the Kenyan woman today for the first time EVER to talk to her about how wonderful it is that Obama was elected. The Kenyan female was quite unimpressed. She comes from the other side of Kenya and doesn’t think much of the people from the Obama family’s side of Kenya. heh.
And the most laughable thing that hubby saw today was his liberal coworkers swiping newspapers. It was no big deal that they were taking multiple copies of the FREE student newspapers. But two of his grown up coworkers (non students) stole newspapers from the newspaper boxes on campus. One guy paid for one and took two copies. Then another guy waited for someone else to buy a newspaper, and he grabbed the door before it closed. Then he stole four copies. So typical. (reminds me of our Obama-supporting niece who thinks we bombed Japan because they aren’t white and we didn’t nuke Germany because they are white. Anywho, she is known to steal toilet paper from the dorm where she used to work. She would take a role home with her to her apartment. She was quite proud of this frugality. It was a public university, after all. She also brags about using neighbors’ wireless networks instead of paying for her own. I could list her other crimes, but she minored in women’s studies, so she’s a really good person.)
Whew.
I agree with you on that.
The only one among the 4 with actual experience RUNNING A GOVERNMENT, and some 'tards thought she wasn't ready. The radical socialist wearing a moderate mask with way less than a full Senate term (that he won in an election that a dog or cow could've won; Chicago runs Illinois, sadly), however, that guy knows what he's doing! Give me a break, Obama crossovers, and put down the freaking kool-aid already.
Barry might not be as bad as we fear. Yes, he has power over every citizen. But he's human, too! With the same desires, same hopes, same fears as are common to man. Remember, there is a God in heaven, that He is the one to fear. As I feared greatly today fretting, and even being sick and throwing up, I was reminded of the One who provides food and raiment, the God that made you, me, Obama, and every other human being, every other creature. So, despite early ragings on my part - shameful things - I am willing to give the man a chance and wish him my the very best.
LOL. I’ve gotten invites from the Texas National Guard guys in Iraq to go active guard. Apparently I have ancestry that makes me qualified for the Sons of the Republic of Texas.

Abortion:
I can think of a liberal falimily situation: Jodie is pregant, 6 weeks, and faces a choice: Jodie makes an appointment to meet with Dr. Van Veebervobber. He aborts her. Jodie goes home, a little sad. Later, she weeps uncontrollably, wishing for "what might have been" albeit with hardship. Eventually, she hardens up, and resolves to live life to devastating effect. Yet to this day, when encountered with a serene 4d picture of a fetus in repose, she has this visceral and involuntary reaction like a punch to the gut. Jodie, we will pray for you, and love you, and let you talk about it when YOU are ready. YOU were not the perpetrater, sweet Jodie, YOU were the targeted victim, taken advantage of by a money-driven system poor in ethics. We will be here when you need us. I can think of a midwest situation: 15 year old Dorothy is pregnant by Brad, her boyfriend. These are farming folks. They start getting a room ready. Abortion does cross her mind, but the tenderness she feels toward that little "beepbop" as she calls him, growing on her wall - the thought immediately turns ghastly. So on with making a room and finding a crib. Aunt Hanna has an extra crib! 8 months later, little boy Jimmy is born. (Jimmy goes on to excell in academics, shuns sports, very clumsly, but moves on up the ranks and becomes a civil engineer; He will later pioneer a more efficient floating bridge on a river which levitates to allow ship passage. Another one, Isaiah and Cinthia are having their fouth. This is a black family, but middle-class. They belong to a small Presbyterian sect, where, in accordance with Ps. 127 "Children are as arrows in the quiver. Blessed is the man with his quiver full of them." Isaiah and Cinthia do everything together, and the mere consideration of the a-word (abortion) never entered into their dialog as that planned for (eventually) Zoe's arrival. It was a tight fit - two kids to a room now - but the Lord provided! He also provided a minor pay increase to Isaiah, a warehouse manager. God is very good indeed!
God is good to Obama, our political enemy. We should covet, earnestly the conversion of this man, that we might call him not only "friend" but (in the Christian sense) "brother". ("President", to be sure, shall remain his rightful title for the appointed time in the official state sense.) For with all his power he wields, he too is a human being, with same basic needs, wants, and desires that are common to man. We should treat him, in his unregenerate state, with utmost respect, simultaneously praying to God for good on Obama's behalf - that he, too, may stand amongst God's people at that glassy sea once his earthly vessel runs its course.
To Obamabots: Give us a chance. we're not all gun-toting racists here. Though plenty of us do own firearms, and we get our worldview from a dusty old book - and believe it! We love women - not in the sense of our men gratifying their pleasures through them, but in a deep and emphasizing way. There is no need for hate. We don't hate you, we congratulate you on your win. My final exhortation: remember that we are all human beings, with a beginning, an end, and plenty of time in between. Let's help each other, not as political allies, but as humans. Okay?
Screw that guy, I had to put up with "That's President Kerry to You!" the day before the 2004 election (haha) and all their creepy Chavezesque crap this election, we don't have to help them turn this place into Cuba!
I can't bear to see the coming wave of trendy left-wing "patriotism."
ROFL, so good it has to be fattening.
"Jobless rate skyrockets under Obama, rich Atlases say "screw this" and shrug."
Best summary of how I feel right now.
“It was great, the Chaplins son was singing the Russia’s Communism anthem. “
That is very funny. I have the USSR national anthem queued up on my iMac and I turn it on whenever one of moonbats comes by my office. I’m calling them all “Comrade” too.
I’m so sorry for your mom.
I don’t want my kids to go through it either.
One thing I have done with my colleagues is to post a list of my predictions for the next 4 years. Most are almost guaranteed to come true, such as tax increases.
See if you can get them to either agree that they would like the prediction to come true (i.e. higher taxes - although Obama promised lower taxes) or that they disagree with your predictions.
Keep the list and the list of names and, as these things happen, revisit the conversation.
Here's my list: You will realize your error of voting for Obama:
1. When your taxes go up
2. When what you thought was a bad economy becomes far worse
3. When he changes the country forever by an amnesty for illegals and allows millions more to enter
4. When you or a family member finds there is legalized bias against them for their race or for only speaking English with no recourse for appeal
5. When you realize Obama is not pro-Christian, Jewish or Israel, but pro-Muslim
6. When you see freedom of speech curtailed starting with the radio
7. When you see your tax dollars going in large sums (even larger than today) to foreign nations
8. When our country's interests are attacked around the world by those who now perceive us to be weak
9. When you see the character of the people he appoints to his cabinet, the judiciary and other positions
10. When your retirement and retirement funds are raided by the federal government
11. When we have record deficits from out of control spending. The rate of spending increases will outstrip the rate of income increases to the Treasury.
I sent my hubby, former marine, a link to the Homeland Security Job website. Were making plans.”
Good idea. I can join Homeland Security and when the time comes I can arrest myself.
My liberal Lesbain office manager put up another Barack Obama quote for the day. I know it is free speech but come on. Having to see the quote all day when they keep bringing it up.
One girl told me yesterday that I was just "hating" the quote. So I then told her that my opinion is "hate speech" now? So you can have your opinion but when I talk about the quote, it is considered hate speech? He has not made office yet and it has already started.
I'm surprised at your comment. Why do you think the attitude will be more prevalent in the north?
