She has served as a shining bright beacon of light in a very dark period.

She will always be that to discerning folks.

I don’t think good people will have any hope of being elected this side of Christ returning. Afterwards, I suspect it’s all HIS BRIEF to assign roles.

Amen to that. I love how the MSM is trying to destroy her so she won’t run in 2008.

We need a thread just dedicated to thanking Palin for all her hard work.

I'm so proud of her and how she stood up to all those attacks against her and her family. I pray she comes back in four years.

I hope Sarah Palin goes home to Alaska for a while. The GOP needs to decide if they’re going to follow Frum, Brooks, and Parker, or if we’re going to follow Newt, Cantor, Jindal— true conservatives.

If it’s the latter, than Sarah Palin can be play a huge role in 2010 getting conservative Republicans elected, setting her up for 2012, if she wants it.

But if it’s the former— I’d rather she not waste her time with these idiots.

Sarah, please lead the way to the rebirth of the conservative movement. Time to get rid of the old, east-coast, liberal-rinos from positions of power in the Republican party. We need new, dynamic leadership.

Sara’s biggest contribution was in fund raising.

Her natural political instincts shine through in those comments. She managed to be humble AND point out it was the economic disaster that sank them all in a couple of lines.

We need a thread just dedicated to thanking Palin for all her hard work.

In addition, how about an organized drive to send individual 'Thank You' cards to her at the governor's office in Alaska..........perhaps in the millions, if promoted properly.

I personally think she deserves the gesture ;-)

Let’s make it this one.

I was talking to the guy who treats our yard this morning, and he said she was the reason he got behind McCain. Said McCain was not conservative, but she, in his words, electrified the base.

We clearly have a VERY smart yard guy :)

Of course, I do the mowing, and am a pretty sharp cookie myself ; } so it stands to reason, grins.

I will miss her — this country will miss what she could’ve done for us, but they’re too stupid apparently to know it. For myself, I plan to write Mrs. Palin a thank you letter. She may never see it, but *shrug* it’ll make me feel better to send it.

I hope she & Todd go home and run their business and live their lives like the normal people they are. I suspect the IRS will come calling soon enough.

There’s no doubt she helped among lukewarm McCain supporters, but personally I spoke to several McCain supporters who through her resume was too thin. They voted for McCain anyhow.

Sara Rocked the whole campaign. She should return to AK and govern but stay in the news nationally. She has been given a very loud voice on national matters and should beat the libs up on energy and other issues using her celebrity.
