I’ve already run into it twice today with absolute strangers mouthing off, and since no one knows who I voted for, I voiced my rapture about how Zero will bring the troops home by March, make peace with Iran and Hamas and pull all our bases out from all over the world, impeach Bush and Company, give stimulus checks in the thousands of bucks, free college education, free mortgage money for the foreclosed, and so forth. Yes, they believe it. And as soon as I can think up more gimmes and heaven-on-earth scenarios, I will continue. The bigger that god gets, the more disappointing will be the fall.
I'll be using this. I am now going to be a vocal Obama supporter, approaching rapture over the joy of him solving all the world's problems - by April 15, 2009! I expect every last soldier to be home from Iraq within 90 days, and with no adverse consequences to those in Iraq who yet again trusted the United States - they shouldn't have to learn what pro-democracy Vietnamese learned from our last generation of anti-war democrats. I expect a new civilian defense force as big as the existing military and a tax cut, both within 90 days. I expect his multiple "universal voluntary" programs to be implemented immediately. This will be fun.

I told my step-daughter in boston (who proudly says she’s a socialist) that the government will likely take any inheritence you may have had coming to you, and you have reached the apex of your standard of living... it’s going to be downhill from here on out.

In 2004, there were kids (after the election) who were beat up when they told bullies that their parents had voted for Bush.

There was also a bed and breakfast that would refuse any guests with Bush stickers on their cars.
