Barack Obama's Kenyan family erupted in cheers Wednesday, singing "We are going to the White House!" as their relative became the first African-American to be elected U.S. president.

KOGELO, Kenya -- The mood was ecstatic in Kenya as Barack Obama, viewed by many as a native son because of his paternal ancestry, was announced the winner of the U.S. presidential contest.

As networks projected Obama as the president-elect, people here in the home village of Obama's father, Barack Sr., erupted into celebration.

"Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!" shouted one man, who had stayed up all night, as the results were announced at 7 a.m. local time in the grounds of the Kogelo dispensary. Religious leaders from the nearby city of Kisumu and villagers alike had gathered there for an all-night, Pentecostal-tinged vigil.

No kids, you aren’t. If you haven’t noticed, Obama tends to forget those who can’t help him anymore.

We now have an African dictatorship in the White House. Millions of Americans gave their lives to prevent something like this. Was it all in vain?

It'll probably be a week or so before the news gets to this guy. I'm sure he'll be overjoyed to hear it.

Barack Obama's 'lost' brother found in Kenya

Senator Barack Obama's long lost brother has been tracked down for the first time living in a shanty town in Kenya, reports claimed

"Mr Obama, 26, the youngest of the presidential candidate's half-brothers, spoke for the first time about his life, which could not be more different than that of the Democratic contender.

'No-one knows who I am,' he told the magazine, before claiming: 'I live here on less than a dollar a month.'..."

Extended family members of U.S. Democratic Presidential candidate Barack Obama react as election results come in, at the family's homestead in Kogelo village, Kenya, Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008. The village is where Barack Obama's step-grandmother lives. Africans organized all-night parties to watch the U.S. election results roll in, determined to celebrate a moment in history as Barack Obama tries to become the first black American president.

Bookmark and Note this post for election issue 2012 How many illegal Obama relatives did not go back and won favorable “illegal” treatment. Someone needs to open a file at their house and begin the opposition research now.

Given the way Obama has treated his relatives to date, the joke will be on them. They are going as house staff! This is the way we mop the floor, mop the floor ...
