Now we get to endure all of the nonsense from the Libertarians.
They will explain how conservatives did this wrong, did that wrong etc, etc. They'll subtly and sometimes boldly undermine Conservative principles under the guise of bringing forth common understanding.
All while offering up their idiotic solutions cloaked in faux reason.
Dismiss them as quickly as you would the most ardent liberal...because in the end, their perspectives spring from the same well; Anomia.

Is there some reason that you wish to alienate Libertarians? They had absolutely nothing to do with the fiasco of a campaign that McCain ran.............

Why not just dismiss everybody...Libertarians, Reagan Democrats, hispanics, blacks....did I leave anybody to dismiss out? Bet that works good.

One take home message we ought to garner from last night's results is that economic libertarianism is not the winning issue everyone seems to think it is. It's telling that the guy whose campaign focused on the economy (granted, he was more or less forced into it by circumstances beyond his control) and responded by trying to preach economic libertarianism to a nation seeing its financial system melt down got his head handed to him, but that explicit social conservatism did much better. Seems like the only conservatives who were even close to being winners last night were the social conservatives, what with the bans on gay marriage in AZ and FL passing, the ban in liberal CA being still too close to call, and an extremely radical ban on abortion in SD losing by only 10%.

Sure...
Let's not blame the party that abandoned all the aspects of Reaganism that made it great.
Let's not blame the party that talked about small Government, while growing it MORE THAN EVER.
Let's not blame the party that refused to fight the biggest move toward socialism since the 'New Deal' and 'Great Society'....
Naaa....let's blame Libertarians. It's so much easier than looking in the mirror.

Excuse me. But this Libertarian tried to help stop Obama. It is now I who dissmiss you...my friend. Ron Paul would of beaten Obama. You better wake up FAST.

Until various factions of conservatism realize and accept that there are many meanings of the word conservatism, there will be no party rebuilding (Republican or other parties). They will simply blame each other and claim that their ideas are the ‘pure’ conservatism, while others are not.

Libertarian votes cost McCain the election in many states. Look at how many votes Barr took away from McCain and I think you’ll see where our victory went. Barr was nothing more than Ross Perot for the 2008 election.

After, when he started up on the Joe the Plumber/socialism routine. That wasn't economic libertarianism by a long shot, but I would venture to say McCain did as well as he did because of Joe the Plumber.

Libertarians have nothing to do with anything. You are losers for winning. Everyone and everything is wrong. You are arrogant, self-righteous and irrelevant elite snobs who are accountable to nothing but empirical principles known only to yourselves. Who needs you?
