What do we do now? (Vanity)

Posted on 11/05/2008 4:54:07 AM PST by ConservativeAtLast

Well, we don't sit around and mope. It's time to go on defense. Don't give the Republicans in congress any time to consider following "that man's" agenda without hearing from you. It's not much, but I've just sent the following to both my Senators and my Representative:

Congratulations on your re-election.

Now, you face the biggest trial of your political life: standing up to the socialist agenda of President Elect Obama.

Make no mistake about it, Obama plans to take this country far to the left and turn it into something more like the USSR than the land of the free that our founders intended.

I was disappointed that you voted for the recent 700+ billion dollar bailout bill. We can see already the unintended consequences of that ill conceived "solution". The government should not own any part of private businesses.

Please remember that conservatives voted you into office, and do not abandon us. Do not sign on to any more bills that would further socialize our countries businesses, schools, or our private lives.

Thank you for your consideration, and I and millions like me are watching carefully how our so called conservative representatives will react to the new President.

Respectfully yours,

We start by getting ready for 2010.

We need to push foward Palin, Jindal, Bachmann, Cantor out front like Newt did and run against the over reaching of the democratic party.

I am starting to send the GOP money every month.

First step: let's locate or have produced bumper stickers that say 1-20-13

Second step: let's organize a protest for inauguration day. The protest messages:
he never produced a birth certificate
he never produced medical records
he LIED about his association with Ayers, Wright, Rezko, and ACORN
he allowed ACORN to indulge in voter fraud
he STOLE the election

Remember, we don't have to be correct. We just have to have passion and righteous indignation, and anger. Lots of anger. It's worked for the left. So let's use it.

#1. Get involved locally in your town government. Start small if need be. (Planning board, rec committee etc...) Use this position to push for conservative values. Work your way up.

#2. Help local causes and organizations that promote conservative values. (Donate money and time)

#3. Write letters to the editor, your congresscritter, go on the radio...get vocal.

Dont give up, use this defeat as a motivator for YOUR values and help save your local community from the insanity that is sure to come.
I know I will.

Stop posting Vanities. That would be a great first step.

I agree with the sentiment, but we should not align ourselves with individuals and then hope they turn out okay.

Rather, we should define our principles and expectations, and then support those leaders and candidates who agree to align with us.

My first principle is that conservatives should act and vote like conservatives, with no adjectives to explain what kind of conservative. Regardless of the outcome of yesterday's election, this country is still a center-right majority, and trying to appeal to everybody is a sure way to represent nobody.

What better place than FR to place a call for grassroots activism? For starters every single Freeper should have their Congress critters numbers on speed dial.

Not me man. I’ll not give another dime to the GOP. The first time I hear anyone blame Sarah Palin for this loss, I am gone. My money goes here http://senateconservatives.com/

I will continue to Digg articles, and pray. A lot.

And if anyone can get my hubby a job and get us out of MI, I would appreciate it.

First...we purge the Vichy (RINO) Republicans.

Second...enforce some party discipline. If a republican crosses over, they are to be defeated in their primaries re-elections.

Third...attack

Fourth...attack

Fifth....attack

No kidding. I also suggest we drop this crap about voting for name recognition and sloganeering in the primaries. Vote for someone with the courage of their convictions. Voting for people who aren't afraid of the democrats and media.

Actually the first thing to do is contact congress and start the drumbeat by demanding the resignation of Chuck Shcumer for calling conservatives pornographers. We need to stop the fairness doctrine first and foremost, the next true battle is against the green movement which wants to declare co2 a pollutant. These are the 2 issues as I see them that are potentially, strike that definitely needed to usher in the global government and UN mandates.
