NEW YORK (AP) — Democrats have won a majority in New York's state Senate. That gives the party control of the full Legislature and governor's office for the first time since 1935.
Democrats, who outnumber Republicans by nearly 2 to 1 statewide, ended more than 40 years of GOP rule in the Senate thanks in part to the enthusiasm fueled by Barack Obama's historic presidential campaign.
Democrats won at least 32 seats in the 62-seat chamber. They trailed 31 to 29 with two vacancies going into Tuesday.

NY sent just 3 Republicans back to congress and 1 is Peter King.
In 2013 there might be ZERO Republicans in the NY delegation.
And zero freedoms and zero guns in NY. What a happy day. /s

New York is so far in debt these tax and spend dems can’t do too much.
They can draw the seats so it’ll be a struggle to elect any Republicans to congress or ever win back the State Senate, look at the Assembly, they drew the lines for that.

New Yorkers will not notice as the frog continues to boil.
And then New Yorkers, fed up with high taxes, will move to red states, complain about the lack of government services they were so used to getting in NY, continue to vote for Democrats, who will then raise their taxes. Then they will complain that their new state has high taxes.

New York will ask for, and receive a huge bailout from the federal government. There are simply too many Democrats in office to allow NYS to falter.
New York, like NJ may have Republicans but very few conservatives.
Say what you want, the sky is not falling... because the tax and spend Republicans who had controlled the State Senate were so far left on most issues that most people will not even notice the difference.
Under normal circumstances I would say you are correct. BUT then you would have to bail out nearly every state.
Hell, Calif in 10 billion or so in the red and other states will line up like welfare babies too.

Yes, you are correct. And that is why the pubbies lost their asses the last two elections. RINO turds should be sent out to pasture.
You might be right, but then again, I know many liberals who would like to move all taxation to the federal level. That way they can consoldate power in the White House and Congress and control which states get the $$$. I gets rid of the problem of a business moving from one state to another to avoid high taxation.
