NRCC gave her up for dead in the most GOP seat in the state. Clowns.

They didn't just "give her up", they turned against her because she is much too conservative for their tastes. Fortunately, many of us who are not in her district donated to her campaign after she was abandoned. I would never give a dime to the NRCC.

Michele forgive me I didn’t donate a penny. I love you. I want you to be our president. If I had more money more time I would have worked for you 24/7. You are right, their are Un-American areas in the US. Every college campus that refuses to allow the ROTC on campus is a disgrace to every soldier, every area where you hear blame America first comments is a coven of traitors.

yes, we will have to rethink how we give to the national campaigns in the future...this time we had no choice....since we couldn't give directly to McCain due to public financing....

come January....and if we assume we will ever have elections again....we should start giving a little money to candidates such as Bachmann....and then keep giving a little here and there...

I think the war chest of a sitting candidate scares off a lot of contenders....

And Steelman’s Treasurer seat went to a rodent. At least we held Hulshof’s seat.

“Same thing happened here in Missouri. Sarah Steelman was the true Conservative candidate but lost in the primary. Why? The GOP establishment wanted to go with a Washington DC hack.”

Errr, the GOP primary VOTERS made the decision. I hate these comments that make it sound like it wasnt decided by voters. It was. And yes, the establishment candidate might get more money, but that never sways informed voters.
I’m sorry the Demo won and I’m sory you didnt put the other candidate up there.

Technically speaking, you’re correct. Sarah lost the primary. But why? The establishment wanted the RINO, the establishment was not going to help Steelman at all. Kit Bond himself even turned his back on her because Bond is not Conservative...he wasn’t as governor and he hasn’t been as Senator.

Still, the voters could have ignored the establishment and voted for Steelman. But that is the fundamental problem here in Missouri, mainly in KC and St. Louis. The establishment is filled with moderates and RINOs. I am workig on trying to change that within the system.

The so called Young Republicans here in Jackson County are more worried about their monthly meetings at the local tavern and having the establishment speakers come in and babble than they are about the actual elections. That sort of attitude has to be changed and changed quickly if we are to throw off the RINO establishment.

Jackson county has to change the leadership at the top of the party. The Republicans didn’t even field candidates in some races, including my state district. The dem won by default. I tried, along time ago, to run for that very seat and was told by the man still at the head of the Jackson County Repub Party that I would not get their support because I hadn’t “paid my dues” yet. In other words, it’s not who is best qualified but whose turn it is this year. Until that man is ousted, nothing will change and KC will continue to elect dems to city, county, state, and fed offices.

It’s a lot of work but I know Conservatives exist in KC because I am one.

You’re from Missouri and I’m not so I wont dispute your points, but I just want to say that every candidate is responsible for their own campaign. Good candidates and good races win their own campaigns. Conservatives shouldnt expect RINO or establishment help, just as conservative groups dont help RINOs in primaries.
I frankly dont think endorsements matter much and it isnt owed something. We see it everywhere that there are more moderate establishment types and some more conservatives.

We had the exact same problem here in our county, now turning more Democrat over 8 years of a leader who was a micro-manager & mod squad type who was at odds with RR grassroots. Well, the grassroots up and died and we started losing races. Now we are down to a single Republican in the whole county. We replaced the county chair and have a healthier county party, but have a lot more work to do.

BTW, there is nothing stopping you from running for a seat if there is no other primary contender. You just file, right?
I have a blueprint for taking a county party back. Run for county chair and take the party back.

That is what we are trying to start now to do. I am in the process of identifying and getting together with like minded Conservatives. This is a process that I do not want to advertise yet as I don’t want to give the RINOs any notification and give them time to put up a defense. I want to strike at the right time, soon, and I want the strike to be total and complete. I am going to try to avoid a protracted fight and go for shock and awe.

If shock and awe is not possible, this could get long and bloody as much as they are entrenched in the party. I do not want to join a third party as I simply want MY party back.

Did you see Mike Duncan the RNC chair kissing up with the media and Howard Dean. This is the problem, if the roles were reversed do you believe Howard would have even shown up.

I’m sick of Pussy Republican Leadership

Kirk the liberal survived. Roskam was lucky his opponent was very close to Blagojevich. Oberweis lost for probably the last time unless he tries a 3rd party run.

We need to nationalize congressional races.

Dispel the “vote for the person” (meaning your local “conservative” rat Pelosi water boy) crap.

That hurts.

Only Kinder won.

And McCain running ahead of the ticket. (or Barak running behind).

That turncoat slime Koster is the new AG.

The party bosses are way to casual about it. They like to socialize with their enemies.

Dennis Moore is now the only Rat representing Kansas in the House or the Senate. The rest are good, strong conservatives.

Moore still being there sickens me, party factions infighting gave him the seat and now he’s entrenched.

“The rest are good, strong conservatives.”

Good, I’ve seen some people say Jenkins is not a conservative.
