Regarding Sarah, it all depends on her and what she does these next four years. At this point, the left and the rino right may have tarnished her too badly. She has a strong base, but if Biden is more popular and trusted than she is, it’s going to take some time and ???.

Carter lost because he was totally incompetent at domestic politics as well as everything else. 0bama is brilliant at politics, although totally corrupt. The total incompetents at domestic politics were running our side: Bush and the RNC. The Bush family almost single-handedly destroyed the Reagan revolution and the conservative movement.

So we're hearing.....yes, Florida went to the Marxist, possibly Muslim, "yes-I'll-sit-down-and-chat-with-the-lunatic that-wants-to-wipe-Israel-off-the-map", buddy of Reverend Wright and Billy the Bomber Ayers.

Mr. Obama slides into the Presidency without proving himself even eligible to hold the post, and certainly with less real world experience than would be required to apply for a position managing an apartment complex.

Mr. Obama finds himself Commander in Chief of the world's most powerful military (at least for now), head of the world's largest economy, and poised to nominate multiple members of the Supreme Court, where they'll likely be easily confirmed by a heavily Liberal Senate, with a lap-dog Conservative opposition that will lack the backbone to stand up and fight against "the tide".

I remember 1980 and 1984, and remember the feeling in my soul every time Ronald Reagan stepped up to the microphone to speak his message of conservatism, self-reliance, and patriotism.

Tonight, I pretty much feel like I've stepped into some kind of Anti-Reagan Twilight Zone.

To the media, the "moderates", and those blinded by the wonder of electing the first African American to the Presidency (regardless of his qualifications, or lack thereof), you will get what you asked for and deserve.

To those of us that stood up and were counted, take heart that your integrity is intact, and you did the right thing.

God Bless the United States of America. We're going to need all the help we can get.

It is done. President Elect Obama.
Deal with with it-—
This country will never recover-
It is over. The takers will bankrupt the givers in this society—it is over.
At least 2 , maybe 3 FAR Left wing Supreme Court Justices, endless Rat giveaway programs buying the votes-
The takers will be in overdrive, the working, tax paying citizens will be decimated by the wolves...sigh, we are screwed.

I do not want to hear “voters voted for socialism.” They didn’t. They voted for something the majority believed would be different, bringing change.

Perhaps they just wanted a nicer-seeming of socialism than the current socialism. It was under a Republican president that the Federal Government grew to have a $3 trillion budget and nationalized the entire finance industry.

Well the last time an incompetent liberal screwed things up we got Ronald Reagan 4 yrs later.

GW Bush is Obama's Carter. Just as the backlash against Carter's incompetence gave us the great Conservative President Reagan, the backlash against Bush has lead us to Obama.

Even though Bush was a big spending, big-government advocate, he called his approach "compassionate conservatism" which was not really conservative at all. Still conservativism and free market principles were blamed and are now going to be replaced with a more socialist authoritarian type of government.

Don’t blame the Cubans, they are now a MINORITY among Florida Hispanics. Broward County had the fastest growing black population of any county in the nation for the past 10 years. It was the black vote more than anything else that won this for Obama. He also performed well in the Orlando area.

I am truly ashamed by the absolute stupidity of my country.

Thanks to the American education system for producing the majority of idiots who would welcome a socialist elitist traitor as our leader!!

Good-bye, America. It was great while it lasted. Now, we can all sink together into that cesspool of socialism.

Remember, socialism - it drags all all down to one common level. Except for our “great” leaders who know to care for us lowly peons. All blessings to the great BO.

(Yep drunk and sarcastic - how’s everyone else tonight?)

I will never forget what complete jackass boorish fools some here were whenever anyone dared utter they were worried or maybe the polls weren’t all off totally or that Mac would not get a landslide or that no, 2004 was not like that and nor was 1980

and so forth

it brought down hell on your head from some very nasty freepers...like the old harpies

some folks think they own this place, only one person does.

point of fact, folks like myself who were realistic enough to know we were in trouble but continued to do all we could to win including throwing good money after bad actually walked the walk unlike these nasty bastards here

I don’t think the media, voter fraud or George Bush did this.

I think guilty white liberals and moderates did. I would not be surprised to find married women voted for Obama.

folks under 45 or so are so brainwashed over race that it clouds everything....even here on FR

I noticed that here my first day 8 years ago.

I thought damn...are conservatives too now so PC about anyhting black or “color”?

yep.....

I’m guessing Obama takes 6% pop vote win....

gonna make the history books look weird to folks in the future, they will think we were invaded and conquered

My nephew is joining the Marine Corps and I now wonder if this is a wise decision.

It is a TERRIBLE decision. Is it too late for him to change his mind? I can't find the link now, but some horrific percentage of mid-level officers were planning to retire if Obama got in. I don't want to discourage him from serving his country, but the possibility of civil war, and his being ordered to fire on his fellow citizens, just got a lot higher.

Coburn, Jindal, Pawlenty, Romney, Steele, Palin to name a few.

There are plenty of true conservatives out there. Republicans just need to get over the desire to support moderates and centrists, most of whom have now been exposed as posers in their support of Obama.

McCain was simply the last man standing in a weak Republican party with no incumbent or natural successor. He never took the fight to the Dems as hard as he should have and allowed Obama and the media to define him.

We will learn from our failure tonight and be stronger for it. We will not rely on moderates, PUMAs or RINOs to define conservatism any longer. Conservatives neeed to take back the Republican party.

I was BEGGING him to oppose the bailout on this forum.

He had the opportunity in the last debate. He has just suspended his campaign to go to D.C., the House Republicans were opposing the bailout and had an alternative plan that used NO taxpayer money - and they really could've used his support. A real conservative would've sided with principles first. And he could've announced it during the debate, further separating himself from That One and the D.C. establishment. Opportunity lost by playing it 'safe'.

It’s not even Dukakis, it’s even Dole, it’s even Bush41...it’s alot closer to Kerry, actually. EC makes it look far worse than it is.

yes and once we lose our freedom it will be hard to get it back. We need to speak with our money. Those of us who play by the rules, pay estimated taxes, purchase goods and service, pay our bills on time and give to charities need to pull back. No one is getting any more of my money except for necessities. Let b.o. take care of everyone. I’ll find a way to get my money out of the country so he can’t “redistribute it.” And for god’ sake, as a woman I ask the women of this country to turn off oprah. She created and sold the b.o. brand. Enough!

Any problems will be residual problems that have stayed with the country from the Bush years. Be assured that if Obama, Pelosi, and Read make things worse, it’ll still be Bush’s fault. In Michigan, they have had a Democratic Governor for 6 years and people still blame John Engler for Michigan being in such poor shape. Republicans need to win once in a while so the Democrats can blame them for what is wrong with our country.
