"Police departments in cities across the country are beefing up their ranks for Election Day, preparing for possible civil unrest and riots after the historic presidential contest," reported The Hill, a Washington, D.C.-based newspaper and Internet site, on October 21.

The article continued:

Public safety officials said in interviews with The Hill that the election, which will end with either the nation's first black president or its first female vice president, demanded a stronger police presence.

Some worry that if Barack Obama loses and there is suspicion of foul play in the election, violence could ensue in cities with large black populations. Others based the need for enhanced patrols on past riots in urban areas (following professional sports events) and also on Internet rumors.

Similar articles have broached the issue and the Internet is rife with speculation about possible post-election violence.

One of the hints frequently pointed to is a statement by Democratic Party campaign strategist James Carville on CNN:

But you stop and contemplate this country if Obama goes in and he has a consistent five point lead and loses the election, it would be very, very, very dramatic out there.

Those preaching anarchy, communism, socialism, environmentalism, animal rights, secular humanism, black liberation theology, open borders, amnesty, socialized medicine, free drugs, nuclear disarmament, world peace, and extreme Islam will riot no matter who wins the election.

This is not unlikely. Pent up black rage will find an outlet on a convenient target. During the Rodney King riots a white Long Beach (CA) resident rode his motorcycle over to his black girlfriend's house to see if she was O.K. He was pulled off his bike by blacks and killed.

Maxine Waters on the Los Angeles riots of 1992 (Rodney King riots):

"[Maxine] Waters has been criticized for her comments regarding the Los Angeles riots of 1992. In defense of the people that looted stores and damaged property, Waters said 'If you call it a riot it sounds like it was just a bunch of crazy people who went out and did bad things for no reason. I maintain it was somewhat understandable, if not acceptable. So I call it a rebellion.'[5] She also said it was 'a spontaneous reaction to a lot of injustice' and 'The anger in my district is righteous. I'm just as angry as they are.' She responded to the mass looting of Korean-owned stores by saying: 'There were mothers who took this as an opportunity to take some milk, to take some bread, to take some shoes. They are not crooks. Everybody in the street was not a thug or a hood.'"

Yeah, AND? Whose fault is that? Hasn’t the media consistently puffed Obama up to the point where he literally became the Messiah? And so what if the rest of us don’t agree with that? I am so sorry. I can’t imagine raising children in such an environment. I just got back from being a ‘poll observer’ for my county. Three polling places, everyone happy, friendly. Of course most are voting republican and the others are quiet. But that’s life in ‘knuckledragger’ country......civility, manners, values......something the urbanite lefties just don’t get. Each year I see more of that familiar, sweet culture sliding away, bit by bit into the left’s ideal of ‘civilization’.
