So far:
Turnout at GOP precincts has been unbelievable.
In Darke Couty, which went 2:1 for Bush in 04, they are looking at 80% turnout and thousands of additional R voters.
In Allen County, heavy R turnout.
In Montgomery County (Kerry won by 2% in 04), the west side (D) precincts are coming in under 20% by mid-afternoon!!! Our R precincts are outpacing them 2:1.
Reports of other red counties are at tremendously high levels.
BASED ON THIS . . . .
wait for it
not only would I "call" Ohio now for McCain, but it's entirely likely he could end up being a sizeable statewide victory margin. I won't tell you yet what it could be, but it portends amazing things for the rest of the states.
Indeed. Seems a good amount of that is being reported around FR today. Either there was a big sale on rose colored glasses at Wal-mart yesterday or there may be something much bigger happening.
I like your sense of optimism.
What about early voting, though? How did the Democrats do? Could they have already voted?
McCain was just on Hannity Radio saying something like “It’s obvious that the media polls have been way off!”
I don’t think ANYBODY predicted the HUGE R Turnouts we have been seeing, ESPECIALY in Rural America!
Keep it up Ohio!
We have to vote more than they can cheat.
I think the Joe the Plumber issue has hurt Obama in Ohio.
I think Ohioans are mad that Obamaites would treat a good man like a criminal!
I like your sense of optimism.
I just read several articles on columbusdispatch.com and the dem turnout is low. They expected long lines, but it’s just not happening.
*fingers crossed*
Still sayin’ -
if McCain pulls this off, I’m going to be hard pressed not to engage in “celebratory gunfire” outside my suburbanite home.... :)
So, is MSM's deciding O is the winner making R's vote like never before, and D's stay home because they figure it's in the bag?
.
yea! things looking up!
Thanks for the update. . .Excellent
“Everyone vote vote.”
No no, that’s what dems do. I only voted once, sorry.
a) a lot of '04 Dem turnout was driven by massive BDS not transferable to McCain (couldn't call him a "chicken hawk" could they?)
b) media bias may have bitten the Dems in the behind by promoting complacent low-voter turn-out for them while enraging the Republican base.
Guess we'll know later tonight or tomorrow.
I knew there was pizza in there somewhere.
As much as I would love to believe that only 20% of the Ds had turned as of the time of your information, I’m guessing that’s because of heavy reliance on early voting (don’t know if you have any numbers on early voting for these same areas?). BUT, it’s a very good sign that Rs are turning out heavily.
Hopefully all the one-sided media attention for Obama has, over the long haul, generated massive R turnout from frustrated viewers.
Dont forget to add in ACORN fraud. That is a key state.
