Vanity Request: Please no photos or graphics today, it just slows the server down

I would urge everyone to stick to plain text posts today. Things are running very slowly as it is.

That is correct. This place never got back up to speed after the makeover.

I agree. These live threads are slow as molasses, even on my cable.

Someone posted to me during the last slowdown (just a few weeks ago) that the problem is in the program code. They think they know what is. That just don't know how to fix it.
